Our second night stay was here & found the chap in the hotel very welcoming, friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean & tidy & for $105 per night, couldn't complain as we have stayed in more expensive rooms that are far worse. The gentleman even let us use the laundry without charge, which was a nice gesture. He had... More

Found the staff to be very friendly and approachable, however that is where it ended. For some reason we got the handicapped cottage with 6 other cottages empty, not sure why as this was not requested. The cottage smelt of stale urine, the tiles in the shower are dirty, you can actually see the soap scum and dirt on them.... More

Beautifully clean self contained accommodation, lovely cotton sheets, very comfortable firm bed. No chemical cleaning scents, great shower pressure and a good sized fridge too. All the staff were friendly and super obliging. Check out was advertised as 9, too early for me, but changing it to 10am was easily accepted. Blinds and heater were very effective and best of... Welcoming you girl in the bar when we booked in and your standard type room, a little dated but good heater and electric blankets. I like that there were wine glasses and some cutlery in the room too. River glimpses were to be seen from outside some of the rooms wHich was nice. The food in the restaurant was good,... More

We recently spent two nights in a 2BR cabin. For the price of $160 the accommodation fell well short of the standard one would expect for the price paid particularly in this location. The general standard of cleanliness could only be described as poor and there was an all pervading smell of dampness emanating from the main bedroom. Our experience mirrors that of... Overall, I would suggest you stay somewhere else. Biggest flaw was I go to check in at 9:45pm and NOBODY was there to check me in. I had to waste about 45 minutes calling all kinds of numbers after too many hours of travel to find somebody. VERY FRUSTRATING. Here is my analysis: Pros: Location, nice people when they were... Like many small motels in regional areas there is not a 24 hour concierge on hand. A simple phone call to notify us that you were intending to check in after 10pm would have avoided your situation. More

I stayed in one of the cabins in early January. It was clean, comfortable and well located in the town centre, and a five minute walk from the beach. The price was reasonable enough too. You can start the walk around Bridport, just across the road, which is quite nice. The whole town is very peaceful, small and sweet. I'd... More

Ordered two takeaway pizzas, one garlic and a meat lovers; both were a equally disappointing. To start of with the bases they use are exactly like the pre made shelved and packaged ones you get from a supermarket. The topping on the garlic was rammed with herbs and tasty cheese, almost always in good cuisine less is more, the same... More

I'm sorry to hear your pizzas weren't up to our very high standards. The majority of customers love them so when I hear that yours were not I take it very seriously. I can assure you our bases are made in-house and are rolled in front of the customer just before going into the wood-fired pizza oven which is also... More

Slow to be tabled, slow to take order and slow meal service. Oysters overcooked. Despite calling well in advance to warn of gluten and dairy intolerances I was informed chef too busy to make an effort. Thai beef salad very dry and came with ingredient specifically requested to be left out. After a one hour wait the entree and main... More

My partner and I spent 1 night in a 2 bedroom cabin, just recently (October 2013) For the price of $150.00 for the night for the two of us, we found the cabin to be well below the level of the price paid. The 2 seater couch had sand and food crumbs on the cushions, a large cigarette burn hole... More
