This is a well located lodge/backpackers with a great view, situated across from the tidal mud flats which is beautiful to watch and a lovely walk along through the park. A short stroll to the shops and eateries. The place is really clean with good facilities including laundry, common room and deck. The manager/owner is a great bloke, very friendly... More

Basic, but very clean accommodation with all the necessary amenities on offer. Lovely open planned kitchen/ TV area with views out onto the water. Was very quiet when I stayed, only a handful of us in the whole hostel and I had a dorm to myself. Good mattress, quality duvet and a heater to warm the room up a bit.... More

We booked the family room which was great traveling with a family of 5. Comfy room with separate kids room, fridge, microwave, shower, toilet and a main common room down the front with games and kitchen. Helpful and friendly owner. Cross the road from the beach and close to shops.

Small & friendly ,would be the best description here. I ha a great stay in this modest but clean accom . The easy going nature of the owner and the comfy sunny Rec room /kitchen made for a great stay at a Great price.

A small sea port and fishing village only had a backpackers lodge with rooms available. The manager greeted us in his dirty singlet and showed us the double room. While it had a fridge and microwave, the rest was rather sparse. The room while not overly clean, had a very comfortable bed. What was rather annoying was right outside the... More

an excellent hostel, spacious and well appointed in a small, pretty and friendly town - beds and rooms comfortable and excellent kitchen - one can afford oneself a 'chuckle' in the morning on rising and looking out the window at the sensational view knowing that other people would be paying much more for such a view - the manager is... This YHA is well positioned directly across the road from the water. We checked in early because we had a booking for 18 holes at the world famous dunes course Barnbougle. We hired a family room with an ensuite and small fridge. The room was tiny but the common area - the kitchen and lounge area are spacious with a... More

It was my wife's choice to stay here as I was playing golf nearby at Barnbougle . I was dubious about staying in a back packers location but I can say it was the best place I had stayed in over the course of a fortnight travelling . The view from the front balcony is brilliant where one can BBQ... More

There is plenty to see around this area of Tassie. The Lodge is a backpacker style accommodation but it is very comfortable and you will feel at home even if you are not a 20something backpacker! We are in our 40's and found it to be wonderful and quiet. We would love to have stayed and done some canoeing on... More
