We arrived at Darlington Beach Resort to find the biggest caravan sites in Australia. You were about two normal sites apart from the van next to you & you surrounded by beautiful bigs trees giving you the feeling you were in the middle of the bush.
We had an ensuite site, which was well appointed, the only complaint they needed more shelving. Parrots landed right on our arms & head for a feed right outside our van which the kids thought was great.
A jumping pillow, large Pool area, Lawn bowls, Tennis, Archery, Games room & Resturant all on site were all made use of. A short stroll down the track of the Caravan Park lead you to the prettiest beach with coloured pebbles & a great place to swim or fly a kite.
The ammentities were clean, Laundry affordable, & the staff very helpful. They...

I'm not one to rough it in particular (we were on a six-week holiday which included yacht chartering, so expense wasn't a big deal) but we really grew to love some of these "parks" in Australia.

For the quite decent price of AUS$170, we had a cabin on a lagoon (we had feared the lagoon might make it Mosquito City, but that was not a problem.....at least not in November). The cabin included two bedrooms (small master with queen bed and small kids' room with bunk beds), a decent sized...
