We don't have places like this in the U.S.----sort of a combination resort, campground, caravan park, and trailer park. There are permanent mobile homes (an oxymoron if I ever heard one), along with the pool, the golf course, the vacationers, etc. Not to mention the peacocks and the rest of the birdlife. But I digress.....

We really enjoyed this place. We were just passing through and looking for a place for the night, but we were actually sorry we couldn't stay longer. I'm not one to rough it in particular (we were on a six-week holiday which included yacht chartering, so expense wasn't a big deal) but we really grew to love some of these "parks" in Australia.

For the quite decent price of AUS$170, we had a cabin on a lagoon (we had feared the lagoon might make it Mosquito City, but that was not a problem.....at least not in November). The cabin included two bedrooms (small master with queen bed and small kids' room with bunk beds), a decent sized... more
