Out of town about 6/7 kms and set in a quiet location surrounded by the bush the Barwon Inn is a great place to stay. I was on an overnight visit for business and found this gem on the net. Situated out of town the Barwon Inn is quiet and friendly. New owners Chris & Trudy have done heaps to improve the place $ are continuing with improvements. It is great value in a lovely location & the meal service is a real bonus.

This is a great place to stay, just a few minutes outside Walgett. The motel-style cabins are clean and cosy, comfy beds. Although you're out of town, you can get good pub/bistro type meals there and they have a bar, frequented by friendly locals and regular guests.
