This was a welcomed surprise in Walgett. The manager is wonderful, the wi-fi fast and the pool lovely (a bit of leaf litter but to be expected in the country) with comprehensive shade cloth keeping you and the water cool. The rooms were very comfortable. No noise between units, great beds, air-con and large TV with great range. The gates... More

There are not a lot of options in Walgett, this one is ok with basic rooms, beds are comfortable, TV works, shower and bathroom clean and functional. The parking is a little tight but there are gates to secure vehicles at night, essential in Walgett. I'd stay here again

Travelled to Walgett for business and selected the Coolabah as the best option based on traveller reviews. Made the right decision. The room are basic but offered all you need for a business trip or stopover. Whilst a little old and tired they are kept spotlessly clean (cleaner than some 4 star hotels in the city!). The bed was lovely... More

Before travelling you need to look up some sites to understand what Walgett may be like. This motel is basic but is what we expected for this location. A secure perimeter is most welcome. We only used the room so cannot give feedback on any other amenities available. We were referred to the local Club for an evening meal which... More

A cheap stopover night’s sleep on our way (wife & I) from Melbourne to Palm Cove in North Queensland. Not high expectations before arriving so our expectations were fully met. Small room with all the absolutely expected amenities & no more. Old & outdated but clean. No requirement for any service – slept & left early. Nothing in the town... More

While the staff where friendly, the rooms clean and secure parking. I found the room over priced, For $99 it was a very basic room lacking everything you would expect for that price. If your employer is paying your accommodation then by all means stay here but if your a budget traveller I would recommend you look else where.

Walgett is a dusty little outback town but we found the accommodation to be very satisfactory. It was basic, don't expect anything else but clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The owners were very helpful. The security in the park was welcome. In the evening we ate at the nearby Sports Centre which provided a good... More

I recently stayed at this place for work and was very happy with it. It's not flash but the room was a decent size, it was clean, the applicances all worked and it had an iron and ironing board. Importantly, the staff were really helpful (even when I locked myself out and had to disturb them at night) and they... More

Thank you for your review, It was much appreciated and we glad you enjoyed your stay. I am not quite sure what you meant by the pool was unusable it actually was only tested last week by POOLWERX in Dubbo for chemical testing and was rated the cleanest pool in the Walgett Region (includes 8 surrounding towns). New patio furniture... More

This motel offers good clean basic safe accommodation. Very convenient location for those who have business in the town or area and also for those who are travelling within the area. Easy to reach places such as Lightning Ridge and other outback areas. Don't expect any frills or a boutique setting, be realistic about country accommodation. What makes this place... More
