Duckmaloi Farm is a firm favourite for us. We first came in 2011 and every visit since has been equally wonderful. The air up here is clean and crisp and smells of growing things, and the landscape driving in makes you remember how wonderful it is to be Australian and call this beautiful country home. Upon arrival we always run... More

We've just returned from Duckmaloi Farm. We took our sons aged 6 & 8 and our two dogs. It was our first time and we are already planning our next visit. We loved it! Next time we will take two cottages and/or the house and bring along our extended family. There was a self-service check in/out (this didn't bother us).... More

The ponies are suffering - no doubt experience a lot of pain & discomfort - because they have their hooves have overgrown. They NEED to be seen by a farrier. I didn't like taking my kids to a farm where not all of the animals are receiving the care they deserve. The accomodation was cosy & pleasant. A little dated... More

Our ponies were rescued from a very old lady 2 years ago who had let their hooves grow way out of control, she could not look after them. We have a master farrier visiting every 4-6 weeks to try and get them back to as best shape as possible but it is very difficult and a very slow process. You... More

We stayed here for a weekend away with two children. Positives were: - great views from living room cottages - good selection of animals for kids to pet and feed and the feed was well kept and buckets were plentiful so no squabbling with the kids. - good heating options for winter - hot water good - not overcrowded However... We booked here following a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. The cabins here are modern, clean and very well appointed with fabulous views out across the pastures to watch the local kangaroos and wallabies. The owner, who was on site during our visit was friendly and keen to talk about the farm and the animals. Our... More

It was a longer drive to Oberon from Sydney than we expected, almost 3 and a half hours. I found this farm through the Blue Mountains website and I had thought it was in the Blue Mountains but it is actually much further away. We stopped by for the afternoon at Jenolan caves before going to the farm. ( and... More

Stayed in the farm house for 3 nights with my sisters family - 4 adults 6 kids (1-12yo). All of the kids (who can talk) separately said to me "this place is awesome". The previous occupants had tried to wreck the place so the owner was a bit frazzled when we arrived. But everything was lovely, rooms nice and plenty... More

Two days in October last year at Duckmaloi farm was one of the most relaxing weekends my husband and I had in 2012. Fresh air, beautiful nature, lovely farm animals...it is just a perfect get-away from a busy city life. Wombat cottage we stayed in was so comfortable that we had impression we are at our own home. We stayed at the wombat cottage for 4 nights with 2 young kids 4 and 5 years. Highlights of the day is always feeding the animals. We did it almost twice a day (beginning and end of the day). We run out of feed fairly quickly and Peter quickly directed us to his backup supplies. Pro: feeding farm animals Con:... More

Staying at Duckmaloi farm is 'another' BEST trip I've planned for our young family, we are a young couple with a 3 year old, also took our teenage niece along, staying in Peter's farm is such a lovely experience, we feel very welcomed by having a very well-equiped kitchen with fresh farm eggs in the fridge for us to enjoy...
