I loved driving through the grand cave, which was like a fairytale entrance and popping out at the stunning valley where the ticket office and Caves House was. What an amazing way to celebrate my birthday, we will come again! The room was nice and warm - we had to share the bathroom down the hall but it was spotless... More

Our room at Caves House was comfortable, clean and warm, but shabby. One of the two chairs was broken and unsafe to use. The Christmas meal was very ordinary, dinner runs at half hour intervals from 6pm. We choose 7:30 and by then all the Christmas pudding had gone. A lonely tree and a few wreaths to give cheer we're... More

After arriving the receptionist was very slow to check us in. We upgraded our room to the Grand Classic and had to pay an extra $55.00 which was more expensive than stated on their website. The room was lovely and worth the money but was still upset by the extra charge. We went down to the dining room for dinner... More

The was the worst experience we have ever had. The cabin was old, freezing and run down. We also are at the Jenolan caves. Never eat there with an allergy. They pride themselves being a Gluten Free friendly. My daughter is a coeliac and has never been so ill after eating something that was advertised as GF but clearly not.... More

Meal at $80 per head was not worth anywhere near that amt and was disappointing and also cold. Lots of stuffing, hardly any veg - no trimmings, very sad...... Room was warm but the paint peeling from the walls not a good look. One tiny soap for both shower and sink in bathroom for 2 people - very very stingy... More

We had accommodation staying at the cottages 8 kms away from Caves House. On check in the lovely reception staff reminded us that the road will be closed at night due to road works. They had previously emailed me this information but I didn't realise it would affect us coming and going to the caves, so the ladies happily found... More

just a few hours from Sydney, a good hotel with a bit of old world atmosphere. The yule tide dinner was fun too. The open fire is a great spot to gather after you've had a caves adventure. A great Hotel for a group booking with friends looking for a bit of fun. 18 in our group we dressed up... More

A great way to feel part of the landscape . For an old house we were very warm and cosy in the rooms. Got upgraded from Traditional room to grand and both were fine. It's a character building and with it no mod cons like TV but that was so refreshing! Take books, kids entertainment and you'll be fine. We... More

The Grand Classic room was warm and comfortable but a little shabby eg silver tape around the central heating and carpet missing, under a wobbly shelf We coped with no fridge ,TV or phone in the room The $85 a head Christmas in July meal was terrible, we left most of it. The only Christmas bits were a tree and... More

We stayed in the Grand Classic Room which was comfortable for an over night stay. The restaurant and bar area was quite cold and the food was very ordinary, I would recommend taking a short 30 drive to Oberon where you truly felt the country hospitality and the food & prices were very reasonable. In appearance the hotel really needs... More
