Small clean room with nice bathroom. It is a historic hotel, however the room is a bit too old and outdated and it is overpriced. There is a cute common lounge with a fire place to relax in. Don't bother paying for the breakfast. It is ridiculously overpriced for the bad quality food. Go to the cafe outside instead.

Stayed at the jenolan caves house. Needs a bit of a face lift. The staff were more than helpful. We had to wait for a long time for our meals. Elevator was not working at the time of our stay so we had to lug our bags up and down the stairs.

Bed and room were clean and spacious. Price was reasonable. The shared bathrooms were ok clean. Just the night was way way too cold. No heater or any sort in the room. We had to put on our down jacket to sleep and still freezing cold.

Enjoyed a long weekend at Jenolan Caves house as a result of a "red Balloon" gift certificate. This hotel may not be to everyone's taste, due to its age but it is full of old world charm and I loved it. It was so cold when we were there, so we really appreciated the huge log fire. I think going... More

This is our third visit to the beautiful Jenolan Caves Hotel, and won't be our last! Picking the time to stay is important to us, as crowds can best be avoided if you go on weekdays, and stay a few nights. We always stay in the shared shower, toilet room, as our room is close to the shower, never crowded,... More

Lovely place for a short break. Staff very friendly and property has a lot of old world charm. The caves are awesome and the 50% off for additional and future cave visits is good value. The main restuarant has kept its charm with a wholesome range of options. Will bring overseas visitors back later in the year.

This place is an experience not to be missed. Very different from any hotel I have stayed at before. It may not be to everyone's taste. If you can only survive in bog standard, rubber stamp, five star (boring) don't go. If you enjoy something with all the comforts but a little more unique you will love it. The caves... More

Adequate basic facilities: ensuite shower, microwave and tea facilities. Electric blankets, but interconnecting door let a lot of noise filter from the adjacent room. We had dinner at Chisholm restaurant, the food was quite good. Much better than expected which was a pleasant surprise. The caves were fantastic. But would suggest a tour of 1 - 1.5hr if taking young... More

This is my first review ever, but I feel compelled to do it. My husband and I booked a weekend away with a night in the Cave House and a night cave tour as part of a 'romance package'. We checked in shortly after lunchtime on a Saturday. The person at the front desk knew we had the night tour... More
