The Maynestay Motel is clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and has a great 'homey' feel about it. Situated on the main street of Gunnedah, it does experience some traffic noise; just wear your earplugs and there's no problem. At the end of a long day's driving you can stretch your legs by walking to local restaurants. The... More

Presented nicely from the road so we thought we would give it a go. We had spent all day riding so we were hot, sweaty and tired. The managers were friendly and cheerful and sorted us with a room, no fuss. First impression of the room was clean, modern and large. Aircon switched on, cooled the room down in no... More

Stayed for business over two nights. The hotel was booked through my work, so I've not comments on that experience. Check in was relatively straightforward. The hotel is located on the main road, so (and I am sure this is the case with most hotels in town) there is truck noise at night - I brought ear plugs so no... More

I stayed here on a business trip to Gunnedah, having stayed here previously. The room was comfortable with a modern and crisp bathroom. All mod cons including air con, fridge, iron, kettle etc with a supply of tea and coffee. Wifi also available with code from reception. I enjoyed a full breakfast with coffee plunger. The bed was comfortable and... More

Rooms feel squashy, too much furniture for a small roo. Second Biggest hate, too small TV sits flat on wall and does not tilt so you can not sit on bet watching the television. Bad water pressure in shower. FIRST biggest reason for never going there again, a few country motels use done god awful cleaning spray which I'm sensitive... More

We really liked this - a big family room, very quiet and comfortable, and well worth paying a bit more for - plus the Indian restaurant across the road was a big advantage. I'd stop here again anytime.

Clean. comfortable, roomy and good location. Would thoroughly recommend this motel. On a previous visit to Gunnedah we stayed at another Motel that we found very cramped and uninviting. Before booking this time I looked at Trip Advisor for a recommendation and was glad I did as I wasn't disappointed !

All very clean and quiet (not many guests). Room in good condition, comfortable bed and air conditioning was most welcome. There are hotels, club and restaurants in easy walking distance if you don't feel like driving. The only downside was that unfortunately the free wifi didn't work on the first night of our stay which was disappointing as this motel... More

I was very impressed with the all the facilities. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and the staff accommodating and friendly. I ordered an early breakfast for the next morning which was tasty and well cooked. I would definately recommend this motel to anyone staying in Gunnedah and will be staying there again when I return in... More

We had booked in advance and because we arrived a day early accommodation was fully booked but thankfully Sue suggested the Gunnedah Lodge and we were fortunate to get the last room. We were also happy to pack up and come to the Maynestay Motel the next day as we had heard good reports. Sue thought we may have stayed... More
