Took one look get me out of here! Balconey outside room was social meeting area for road crew, drinking, smoking, yahooing and playing boom box. They had the right to enjoy their end of work day, we couldn't. Stay away!

Located right on the Great Western highway is very noisy. No noise reduction in unit we stayed in. Although I booked on line it was upstairs they very kindly put us in a family room downstairs as I was traveling with my 87 year old mother The room queen bed & 2 singles very comfortable - tv in both rooms... Thank you for your review and glad you appreciated being upgraded to a family room downstairs and note your comment about the noise. As indicated in the room, cutlery and plates are provided on request. We are a 3.5 star motel in a convenient location on the highway in the Lower Blue Mountains, the first floor rooms are quieter as... More

Small rooms, small bathroom, located near main road so road noise and train noise all night. Housekeeping was average and our bed wasn't made up..A container of margarine had been in the fridge for a while looking at its condition , so obviously no one had check the fridge for awhile..The bed needs replacing as it sagged on one side.... Made a great jumping off point for exploring the mountains. Bed was a bit hard for my tastes, be sure to check the cupboard for softer pillows. The shower was excellent - good pressure and unending hot water.

There were three of us and we stayed in a twin room with one double bed and a single bed. It was a perfect overnight stay and the shower pressure was amazing!! Unfortunately we stayed on the top level and the second level does not receive wifi.

I booked the room online, in the car, via booking.com. (Our plans changed at the last minute.) When we arrived, there was no trace of the booking on the motel's system. Just what we didn't need! But it was resolved with remarkable efficiency by Johanna Koleda, the manager, who could not have been more helpful and efficient. We had a... More

First, a history lesson. In 1995, my car broke down at Blaxland (just down the highway) and my partner and I spent a night at the Pioneer Way before getting a train home to Orange the next day. 20 years later, my car was rear-ended by a truck at (you guessed it) Blaxland. I drove it up to a local... More

Room - clean and comfortable. Reception - friendly and helpful. Breakfast - good value. Recommended. Was nice place to stay and there were a number of dining options within a short distance. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Easy access off highway. I will stay there again.Wifi available I think but I had my own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pioneer Way Motel. The room was so lovely and clean, and big enough for what we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we asked them something. I loved that the towels were coloured and the bathrooms were very clean and had everything we needed. I had already stayed there before and... More

This is the only motel in the area....so they can pretty much charge what they want....and they do. $160 a night is well off the pace....this is a 90 to 100 a night place. Major and busy highway outside the door, railway just beyond that. It IS noisy at night. Only vertical blinds which ensure your up early. Some heavy... More
