Had a totally enjoyable stay in what is a very charming and clean guesthouse. Room was delightful and the staff were very nice. It's only 100 metres from the centre of town so you can drink and easily walk home. Highly recommend as an inexpensive nice place to stay

I took my wife to this little place in the mountains for her birthday and , well what can i say, even before we got there we were impressed , it was a very foggy Friday night as we drove up there and we got a call from them asking us to take it easy and drive safe as there's... More

Why would I rate this excellent when I did see another review as disappointing? Cast your mind back to when you were a child and you went to visit Grandma in dad's old Chevrolet? When you walked in the door, there was this ambience of warmth and love and you sat in the big lounge reading a book with the... More

Discovered this little gem on the 'living social' website and got away for the Canberra holiday weekend staying on the Sunday night in a King Suite. Met by friendly staff who ushered us to our room and the other amenities available including port and chocolates before retiring for the evening. Very disappointed we weren't able to share in the rave... More

Nineteen friends spent two nights in the guest house and cottage, we had a terrific time, enjoyed the ambience and friendly hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble and there was plenty of room for us to gather before dinner in the restaurant. We also enjoyed breakfasting in a relaxed atmosphere.

Very disappointing hotel. The bathroom was smaller than the ones you found in hostel for backpackers. The shower was literally in front of the tiny toilet. As soon as you enter in the hotel the smell was awful. It was really musty. The same musty smell in the bedroom. I asked if we could have another bedroom but I ve... More

Thank you for your review. Musty? Sorry I have to disagree with you. I have checked my hotel inventory and can tell you that it was true, the hotel was completely full on the night you stayed. More

We stayed in Alberts cottage. My partner had booked this as a special birthday treat for me and from the website expected a good standard of accomodation. However, we were very disappointed. On arrival Alberts cottage had not been aired and smelt very musty, we had to air it before we could go in. The state of decoration was extremely... More

We stayed up at Blackheath so we could have a chilled out place to relax while we explored the Blue Mountains. Alberts Cottage was like stepping back in time. The rooms and Living area are great and would suit a family perfectly. For us both going and Hiking all day to come home and have a soak in a Spa... More

We were very comfortable in our stylish queen room that contained all we needed. The evening meal we ordered at the hotel was delicious and served happily with a smattering of conversation from our host - not too much, just enough to be friendly. Our bed was very comfortable and for the price we paid, provided a very good night's... More

Lots of Victorian charm in this quaint guest house. The hosts Jack and Malina are very friendly and the rooms and lounge areas are replete with period furnishings. A generous continental breakfast is included and the two acres of gardens provide plenty of nooks for reading in the sun. Well located in walking distance to Bkackheath village and only a... More
