My husband and I stayed here as a stop on our way to Lithgow. We needed something cheap and cheerful, just a place to sleep until the next leg of our drive. We got a great deal on wotif and the staff were very accommodating even before we booked. We weren’t due to arrive until 10:00pm and the owner stayed... More

The staff are friendly and the restaraunt has good food and reasonably priced. The old world charm was initially quaint but after a night of no sleep it became old and in terrible need of renovation. The rooms at the front offer no barrier to the rumble of constant trucks on the highway that insist on using compression braking all... More

This was a great hotel in lovely Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. We stayed in the King room with a spa. The bathroom and room are very large and beautifully decorated in a traditional style. The staff are really lovely and we received a very warm welcome from chef when he greeted us at the door :) The same chef... More

We stayed for a Saturday night, after seeing the guesthouse featured on the news, as no one was going up to the Blue Mountains as they thought the whole place was burnt out in the recent bushfires - which isn't true. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything, from the rooms, the lounge, the restaurant and especially the friendly and funny... More

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. You are absolutely correct, the beautiful Blue Mountains are open for all to come and see! I'm sorry that the weather wasn't great whilst you stayed, but as I look out my window this morning, blue skies, sunshine - a perfect day. We hope sincerely that you can return to St Mounts... More

This guest house blew our minds. Gorgeous, quaint, exquisite, quirky, elegant, luxurious rooms (we were even upgraded to a king room!) The staff were welcoming, hilarious, warm and attentive, and provided additional services such a desert wines, much to our delight! The restaurant is absolutely amazing- Italian wines with Italian meals- proper Italian- not pizzas or pastas, and politely priced... More

My wife and I selected St. Mounts from the internet and arrived for the night of Sunday, the last day of the Bathurst car racing event. One great advantage was that its restaurant was open on Sundays. The cottage style premises looked most attractive and the inside didn’t disappoint either with each room being renovated and furnished in keeping with... More

A July visit, cottage is very spacious of course as it sleeps up to 12, lovely lovely lounge area, open fire with wood at the ready, fire lit for us on arrival & heaters throughout the cottage, kitchen fully equipped for any occasion . Have just spent another three nights at Albert Cottage to celebrate the wife's upcoming birthday and once again we enjoyed it immensley. If you are expecting modern , five star accomodation, dont book the cottage but if you want a five star experience, the cottage is the place to stay. It gives you a taste of a bygone era, heaps... We've spent two nights in this beautiful hotel. It was really clean and comfortable. The bathrooms could have been a little bigger as me and my partner had to squeeze into them but overall it was a really nice room that we were given. We had dinner once in that hotel and the veal was just outstandingly good. We sure... More

I have just spent two wonderful nights at St Mounts Blackheath. I had stayed there in the eighties and it was so incredible to visit again and to enjoy a stay with memories of this beautiful guest house. I was fortunate to experience the amazing food of Alexandra who has had training with some of the high end restaurants and... More
