We loved this place. We wanted to stay in places with character and this definitely fits the bill. This is an old building so has a few blemishes but that is more than made up for by its features and history. The new owners Margaret and Rowan couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and informative. The guest house is brilliant... More

We had a wonderful couple of nights at Glenella whilst doing some bushwalks. The new owners were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was great, well equipped and comfortable.

Having arrived and found out that we messed up the booking (we booked the wrong dates), we were relieved to find out they had a spare room and could accommodate us for the 2 nights we were expecting to stay, and they were very nice about it. The building itself is a charming place, but it does feel very tired... More

We only had an overnight stay after doing the Oaks Fire trail mountain bike ride. Nice clean and comfortable room with a split system air conditioner. The guest house recently changed owners and the new owners have plans to revamp the guest house. The guest house has such charm and character and is only a few minutes walk to the... More

We arrived around midday but checkin wasn't until 3pm so we stopped for lunch and then headed for the Jenolan Caves. When I arrived back later with my wife and 2 exhausted children (2 & 5) after a big day and a lot of driving, our booking had been lost. The booking was made directly on their website, all credit... The rooms are very small with no where to sit other than on the bed (we had the "standard" - least expensive room) with air-conditioning , we found it clean and comfortable. Kate was very helpful as we had to leave early on the day of departure, Kate had organize our breakfast much earlier for as.

Stayed for a night on our way through the Blue Mountains. The property is stunning, quirky and full of character. Kate is a superb host and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was traditional, some my sy old fashioned but we found it clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast set us up for the day. A good value... More

Kate and her husband are very welcoming persons, attentive to your well-being and your comfort. The room we had was small and cute, with air-conditioning or heating, and an electric blanket. The matress was very confortable. In the main living room, there is an open fire, that makes the guesthouse even more welcoming. That's definitely a nice place to rest... More

It is difficult to provide an overall rating because there's good and not so good. As for the good...the beds are very comfy and the room was very clean with a good reverse cycle air conditioner. The rooms are very small with no where to sit other than on the bed (we had the "standard" - least expensive room). The... More

We stayed at Glenella on a gorgeous Autumn weekend, sun was shining. Hostess Kate was very friendly and helpful. She told us all about her Triathlon training - admirable to say the least! Rooms were comfortable and we slept well with the windows open letting in the fresh mountain air. Had a leisurely breakfast on the deck - mocha coffees... More
