The reading chairs outside of our room on the verandah were a very nice touch especially as the sun was shining and the garden is so nice. The property itself is very close to everything so walking to town / restaurants / coffee beats fighting for a parking spot on the busy weekends. Breakfast is lovely, the rooms nice and... More

Suggest coming in summer, I have the heater up to 26 and am still cold. Room is nice though could do with outlets to plug phone charger and all in. My bed is also 2 singles pushed together which isn't the most comfortable and don't plan on using Internet while here, free wifi but keep getting a no server available... More

Both Margaret & Rowan were the hosts with the most! Our comfort was their aim. We were so very well looked after. The beds were extreamly warm & cozy, slept like a baby! The bathroom had a great rainfall shower. Breakfast was fresh, tasty & cooked to order. Coffee very good. Relaxing to spend time around the fire. Our stay was... More

Thank you Margaret and Rowan for your hospitality. Fab little B and B, great locations n, rooms, brekkie and advice on bushwalks. What more could we ask for. Weather was clear and cold so electric blankets much appreciated.

Glenella is a traditional house with lovely verandah out front. We arrived on a crisp winter afternoon and the welcome and the property were warm - we spread ourselves out in the lounge in front of the open fire before and after dinner. We had the family rooms - two bedrooms connected by a shared bathroom which was perfect for... More

Glenella Guest House is a lovely old home in the centre of Blackheath. Great location, just a short walk to local eateries, shops and The Emporium Antique Gallery. Also a short drive to magnificent lookouts at Govetts Leap, Pulpit Rock, Evans Lookout and Hargaves Lookout. Great hosts, free wifi and yummy hot brekky. We were there on an icy night... More

My wife recently surprised me with a night away at Glenella and it's a great spot - can't wait to see what Margaret does to the place over the next few years. Cosy, comfortable, well located and very reasonable from a pricing viewpoint. Love that I was able to manage the fire in the living area!

Found this place by chance and a great find. Rowan and Margaret couldn't have been more helpful - fabulous to hear their plans for the future and also their strong desire to keep things close to the history and community of the place. Am sure will be an excellent very soon. Rowan kindly ran us to Pulpit rock for the... More

It's basic, clean with a good bed and pillows. Could work on serving presentation for breakfast. Gap around the door meant we could hear every word and person who came past the room. Thankfully we had quiet and considerate neighbours. Oh and don't water down the shampoo that's stingy.
