We felt like we were at home by the end of the stay. The food is first class and the staff are incredibly accommodating. There are so many different spaces in the hotel and always something going on. We loved it! Country hospitality at its best, yet class all over! More

We had a meeting there today. Wow!!! The food was to die for, the dessert yummo. The serve was absolutely brilliant, nothing was to much trouble, everyone was so polite and best of all everyone had a smile on their face. And we did too. Well done guys and girls. We will be back :) More

We stayed at The Playhouse in September 2011 with our 9 year old son, who had an absolute ball helping Andrew set up for a function not to mention hanging around the cinema. I have visited many times and always get a buzz from the vibe that Andrew, Haddon and the staff create. Everything's done with energy and enthusiasm. Nothing... More

We chanced upon The Play House quite by chance. We were tired and ready for a 'day off' from travelling.I think that the hotel and it's hosts Haddon & Andrew are wounderful! They immediatly plied us with coffee and a very clean and comfortable room. We were not able to eat there that night, but all the meals the next day were... More

In August 2011 I was in a group of 80 Outback Getaway participants for the Rotary Club of East Toowoomba. We stopped at the Hotel for lunch. A tasty well presented meal was provided and served very efficeintly, despite the large number of guests. The manager Andrew and his partner Haddon were great hosts and included a most interesting talk... More

A quirky, fun hotel that creeps up on you. Bright clean rooms, restricted menu but excellent food and a most welcoming host(s) with excellent and thoughtful service. Nothing is too much trouble and where else do you get a movie theatre on site. We will certainly stay there again when next in the area. More

This wonderful hotel/guesthouse is worth seeking out, if ever you are in the region and certainly worth travelling for. It is elegant and classy, with a very relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. The rooms have high ceilings and nicely renovated bathrooms and it is very peaceful. There is a wonderful small restaurant/cafe which serves great coffee and meals and everything... More

We often travel the western highways of NSW going back and forth visiting relatives and discovering new treasures but nothing has surpassed the delight we had when staying at the Playhouse Hotel, Barraba for the the first time. Such was our joy at discovering this gem north west of Tamworth, that we have been back several times for longer stays.... More

We have stayed here three times now. We would never consider staying anywhere else! The rooms are beautifully appointed , very modern , very clean very comfortable. For us the wireless Internet is wonderful as we don't get mobile service in this part of the country. The breakfasts are something to be experienced. Wonderful home cooked breakfast all made to...
