Ok, we have been coming here for 8 years and always stayed here This hotel has a LOT going for it ... Great location Great restaurant and service Best spot to park for the day, drink margaritas, eat the FRESHEST cerviche and guacamole there is and watch the people. Rooms need attention - the same mattress from our stay 8... More

I came to Yelapa for a buddy's wedding and stayed at Lagunita. Had a wonderful time and I'm hoping to return. The place is one of a kind. The village, the cabanas, the hotel grounds in general are all beautiful and Luke and the rest of the staff were great. Have fun. Jason Searcy, Los Angeles

Been wanting to go to Yelapa for 32 years. Then saw the "Sunset" mag article. That clinched it. Only way to get there by boat? Cool. You get off water taxi at pier right next to hotel (not really a hotel, but a collection of huts on the beach, rocks or pier). The town is to the south down the... More

Spent two fabulous nights at this beachside hotel. With our own hut facing the water, and the sound of the waves hitting the shore all night, we felt like we were stranded on a deserted tropical island! Good service, basic amenities and an excellent location. The natural style pool was refreshing and further added to the rustic ambiance. Will definitely... More

The experience was fabulous. It all begins by taking a boat to get to Yelapa. How cool is that! The rooms are ocean front and the water is incredible. We enjoyed opening the door and jumping into the ocean by the dock is there. The town is worth visiting but no the best town. There is a an ok waterfall... More

We stayed in 12. There were no shudders only primitive curtains. The disco on the beach ran the synthesizers on high until about 2 and at a slightly lower volume until around 3 or so. Something needs to be worked out here. Yelapa needs to decide whether it wants to be South Puerto Vallarta ( count me out) or still... More

What a great place - super nice staff, great views, good food. Yelapa is a VERY quiet place so expect to spend some down time. The rooms I would best describe as Swiss Family Robinson architecture - don't expect luxury but they are all distinct. No air con but the fans they provide are good enough. One note- other reviews... If you've never been before, read the reviews. If you're up for an adventure, don't miss this place. It is a beautiful, peaceful setting. The staff was helpful. The only hard part about it was that I didn't sleep well in the beds, but I still wouldn't trade my experience for somewhere else. The price for a front-row seat to... More

My girl and I went out for a mini vacation and the hotel didn't disappoint! It's very "basic" but you get what you pay and we were expecting something like that, nothing fancy. The good things: Hot water! A small yet nice bathroom. A little terrace in front of the casita. Relaxing (up to a certain point). You get what... More

This is my kind of place! Hop on a boat, take in the stunning coastline, arrive on the pier and walk a few steps to your cabaña. Hotel Lagunita is GORGEOUS, rustic and my ideal Mexican get-a-way. I live in Puerto Vallarta so when I need to escape the "city" this is where I will go. The staff are helpful... More
