Our wedding took place this last June in Yelapa at Casa Isabel - it was wonderful experience from start to finish! Yelapa is of course, a gorgeous location and the placement of Casa Isabel could not be more ideal - spectacular views and nice and breezy out on "the point", but still close enough for a casual walk into town.... My fiancé and I just got engaged in the lovely town of Yelapa! We stayed at casa Isabel's in casa Annie's (so wonderful) Beverly and Chris are so amazing and accommodating! Be sure to get a massage from Beverly! And maybe if your lucky you can hear Chris play music while the sun sets! Lovely lovely lovely Ps. Don't forget... More

Casa Isabel is not for the "all inclusive resort" type. It's perfect for the adventurous and open minded person who wants to truly experience Mexico. The casas are open air and exposed to the elements including a beautiful breeze, amazing views of the jungle and the sea, insects, and critters. The kitchens are well equipped and I recommend buying fish... More

I am writing this review lounging in a hammock by the see in the Casa Central. I need to get back to reality in Mexico City tomorrow, but first will enjoy some amazing tacos at Los Abuelos (am too lazy to cook, though the kitchen has all you need) and a great night of sleep with the sound of waves... Better than we even imagined, and we had heaven on our minds!! We will certainly return because Casa Isabel was a delicate jungle paradise, but the added bonus was the humility and friendliness of our hosts, Chris and Beverly- great advice on local fun, great storytelling and information about Yelapa and its history, real-life trials, and sweetness. This is a... More

Casa Isabel is a jewel. It's rough around the edges, not a polished 5-star resort - but that's what I wanted in Mexico. Very few walls, but lots of privacy. Each room is open to a view of the ocean - and the beds were suspended from the ceiling which was AWESOME! There's a shared kitchen with plenty of room... More

Stayed for a week , first at Annies and then at the Pavillion . When there was no noise it was wonderful but there was construction going on next door and somebody was playing electric piano (Late seventies rock, limited repertoire) and as there are no walls, everything is audible.. Just got the feeling that we were staying in their... More

I'm sorry that our auditory environment was poor counterpoint to the radiant faces I saw when encountering these guests. The local Mexicans are absurdly tolerant of noise made by others, but I agree that the construction noise from an adjacent property, thankfully completed, was too much. Piano music is central in Chris' life, and we have grown so accustomed to... More

Casa Isabel doesn't have a phone number on their website. Since I'd never been there before, I had questions about the number of steps, how steep the hills were just to get an idea on whether I could take my mom there and if she could handle it. A few simple questions such as, which rooms do you have in... More

We regret that this prospective guest had a bad experience interacting with us over the telephone about a possible reservation. The blunt-spoken volunteer whom she talked to has moved on. This is not the experience you will have when you come to Casa Isabel, where we are known for our hospitality to the guests of this peaceful and lovely spot.... More

The two of us have been to Yelapa before, twice staying at Casa Isabel. This time we were in Casa Jade again (it used to be Casa Deanna) the end of March and beginning of April. The weather was warm as well as the seas. Swimming Kayaking and Snorkeling a pleasure. We paid on line and had communications with the... More

Having been to Yelapa on previous occasions we thought we would try Casa isabel for a few nites stay over. The only advantage with staying at this property is that the water taxi from PVR stops directly in front of the property. Besides that I would not reccomment the property since there are too many steps to climb to get... More

We regret that this guest had a less than fabulous time at Casa Isabel. I appreciate his efforts to be thorough and fair in review, and agree that Casa Isabel is for strong-hearted, outdoorsy people. However, permit me to doubt his arbitrary age limit of 45. Until Isabel died at age 81 she still scampered around the property like an... More
