Spent 6 nights at Yelapa Oasis in March of '14. I can't say enough good things about it! Our palapa was dreamy. Casita #5 by the river, one bedroom in a loft. Going to sleep listening to the insects and birds was great and being woken by the roosters didn't bother me (shockingly!). Staff was fabulous - free decent coffee... More

When you stay here bring a good sense of humour and lots of money . It would be fine for young backpackers at a third of the price. Highly recommend that you see it first before you commit to your stay. The highlights were ... hot water, comfortable beds, clean sheets, towels, mosquito netting , the ambient jungle sounds lulling... More

Lisa, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of our establishment. I'm very sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay with us, in spite of all the highlights you mention. I also regret that you didn't say anything about this during your stay, which would have enabled us to explain and/or correct the issues,... More

My fiance and I stayed at the Oasis while we were in town for a wedding and it was lovely to stay there. Before we even arrived, Cheryl was extremely helpful and informative, which made our arrival at the Oasis very easy and comfortable. Plus, we arrived on Friday night and there was a Brazilian music concert right on the... More

We were here for 2 nights over Thanksgiving. Getting there was a bit of a trek for us but that was because we got lost. Something we tend to do a lot! For non-directionally challenged people it really is a straight shot from the beach. The name of this place is perfect. It really is an oasis. It’s far enough... More

My husband and I have stayed in Yelapa several times, never at the Oasis. Lots of smaller places to stay that we prefer. However, the Oasis does have a very fun bar and restaurant where the drinks and food are very good. Expensive (for Yelapa), but good. We also found the service to be very good and people friendly there.... More

I recently spent a night at the Oasis pending another reservation with family. Cheryl was very helpful in setting up my stay as well as an eco-tour to view the beautiful Military Macaws in their habitat. (This tour was through macaw advocates, Guacamayas Unidos and not for the timid. It is actually aiding some researchers in a serious study and... More

Visiting the Yelapa Oasis felt like an adventure. To get there you get dropped off on the beach, walk down the beach on the sand, take off your shoes and walk across a river! (you can be picked up too, if you're not into walking) The casitas are very cute. I stayed in #5 with a river view. Wi-fi was... More

I stayed here for two weeks with Caroline S, her review is a bit lower, and I have to agree with everything she's written. Incredible hideaway near town and beach, and incredible people hosting to you! Shout out to Allen for the incredible food and to the owners, Sebastian and Cheryl, for the great service. Caroline goes into deeper detail,... More

I stayed at Yelapa Oasis for 2 weeks during low-volume season and had a greater than expectations vacation. Seriously, best trip ever! Here are a few of the highlights I enjoyed by staying at Oasis: 1. The location. Nestled between raw mountainous jungle and a shallow river, the Oasis property features many beautiful plants, trees, several ponds with koi/frogs, and... More

Never having been to Mexico before I did not know what to expect from the little village of Yelapa, only accessible by water? Casita in the jungle with no walls? Crazy talk! But after an amusing panga ride to Yelapa that had us stopping at several places to drop off people for work we made it to the protected bay... More
