A group of us have been meeting here once or twice a year since 2005. 14 of us met up again 3 weeks ago and everything was as good as we have experience before. Excellent service, excellent food. They even arranged a table outside at the back as it was such a hot day and made no fuss when we... More

Stayed here as a small group (2 couples) as we had traveled from London to attend the final race day at Glorious Goodwood. The inn had a lovely pub and the rooms were set a short walking distance in a barn building. We really enjoyed our evening meal and thought the food was delicious and to a high standard. Awesome... In recent years I have visited this restaurant several times and found the overall experience to be good. The kitchen has always produced a good standard. The management staff has recently changed,(it was 2 south African girls), which is a pity because they ran a very tight ship! The young staff on my recent visit do not do the reputation... More

We spent a couple of days here in one of their Deluxe Rooms. The room was lovely and really spacious. We were lucky with the weather and the room became quite warm during the day but opening the windows and using the provided fan helped. Cooked breakfast was included in our rate and was tasty - unfortunately there was not... More

Nice place but be careful of unexpected charges that may not be clearly communicated to you via their website or by staff in charge. WiFi is pretty much non existent even though is added as a featured on their site. If you don't know your wines keep an eye as they may confuse your Pinot with a Sauvignon :-)

I've stayed in this pub on a couple of occasions and each time everything has been to my liking, the food is good quality and well presented and the rooms are well maintained and clean and well maintained. They are situated across a small lane opposite the pub and have everything you could need, if you look at the pictures... More

I stayed at the Halfway Bridge following a search on TA. I'm so glad I booked here. Great location, on the road network, but still set in picturesque countryside. I had a warm welcome and was shown over to my room, given a tour of the facilities like heating etc etc. very attentive. I dined early, but have to say... More

My wife and I visited today for a pub lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day so we ate outside in the walled patio area off the main bar (we thought the main outside area would be a bit noisy from the main road). It was very sheltered and warm with nice tables and chairs. The menu was very enticing... More

I stayed here for a night whilst in the area for the polo. It really is hard to fault anything about the place. Fantastic country pub selling beer from just up the road and exciting looking wine list. The room was lovely and comfortable and breakfast lovely. Highly recommended and I will return when next at Cowdray Park.

My Family and I were looking for a Easter lunch venue half way between Wiltshire and East Sussex, we chose the halfway bridge and weren't disappointed. Excellent food, very attentive friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend it! Thank you very much. Lucy Anderson
