We were staying 3 minutes away at The Old Railway Station B&B, and The Badgers was the nearest pub and evening eatery. We ate there on two consecutive nights and had a jolly good meal on both nights. We found it a friendly and charming place, would certainly go there again.

Welcoming pub with a shabby chic style. Our room was comfortable, sadly a little tired and worn around the edges with a mix matched hotchpotch decor. Room had usual supply of refreshments, tea/coffee/biscuits also fridge with fresh milk each day and complimentary water and juice, v large bathroom with gigantic bath and huge mirror above, again dated and a little... We stopped using Badgers some years ago after poor experiences. However after hearing a few mixed comments from friends thought we might try again. We have eaten there twice, as a group of five, over the last few months with very mixed results. On a positive note the building has character and the tables are well spaced with comfortable seats.... More

Visited this local inn recently twice in one day. Once for breakfast and then later for dinner. Breakfast was good although I felt the bacon with the full English needed cooking longer and was lacking any crispness. Also I missed the option of black pudding- a popular favourite. It was good value however at £10 incl coffee/tea. Dinner was good... More

Just stayed for two nights. Business (and a walk!) I cannot fault this place. Very quiet and calm. Food is excellent. (If you are a vegetarian, left-handed or needy, just tell Jules or one of the very helpful staff on arrival. More towels were provided on request. No issue. Water hot and bedroom/bathroom very clean. Accepting that the cost of... More

We stayed for dinner and one night as a quick getaway.... the Badgers has the most wonderful warm and cosy atmosphere and the staff where attentive. We enjoyed our Tapas as we got to try a little of everything! and the wine list was great. We noticed on the board by the bar that the pub does a lot of... More

West Sussex is so beautiful and on the way through you pass Badgers. Looks ideal but quite simply a disaster. OK, it's a pub with rooms not a five star hotel but having said that, it's embarrassing. Accommodation; dirty rooms, hairs in bath, stained sheets, mould and pet hairs on carpet- damp patches in ceiling. Food; Well set out restaurant... More

This pub is a lovely place to stay with a beautiful garden bar overlooking a lovely stream. Very peaceful and relaxing. We were made welcome and nothing was a problem. The dinning room was very busy but the meals were served promptly and were of a high standard. We would visit this pub again.
