I stayed for a few weeks in November. The accommodation is excellent and the hospitality provided by Anita made me feel at home. I would highly recommend this place. There are many activities in the area for those new to West Sussex.

My wife and I spent a weekend at the Garden Cottage recently with our daughter. What a special place this is! Hidden away as if in a secret garden is the most welcoming B&B we've ever encountered anywhere. The accommodation and facilities are just perfect and access, even for our daughter with partial paralysis, is very straight forward. Just around... More

The cottage is set in a lovely mature and secluded garden. The sitting/dinning room is very comfortable and welcoming and has a small kitchenette off it which was exceptionally well stocked. Main bedroom is not that large but has a very comfortable bed (if perhaps a little too soft for our particular taste) and the en suite bath + shower... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Garden Cottage because it really is so lovely. The accommodation is just perfect. The breakfast is out of this world, in fact as we walked around Petworth after breakfast I felt so full and satisfied, I nearly needed a lie down! This is the best bed and breakfast I have... More

Such kindness! We arrived in Petworth unexpectedly, and when Anita was out, - but she returned our call and rushed back to prepare, and lay out the red carpet welcome which I'm sure is afforded all her guests. Unfortunately I was having some trouble walking due to a wonky hip, and having baulked at Anita rushing me to A&E I... More

If you are looking for a home from home right in the middle of beautiful historic Petworth then look no further than the Garden Cottage. Anita could not be more hospitable and the accommodation is spacious, being a self-contained unit with bedroom, living/dining room, small kitchette and bathroom. Breakfast was huge and delicious with Anita really going the extra mile.... More

As a young person (aged 28) who had never visited this area of the world before I was initially unsure as to what to expect. I was welcomed with the warmest of hospitality by the lady who runs this delightful b&b cottage who went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of excellent! The cottage has... My Mum and I stayed at the Garden Cottage and couldn't believe our luck! Anita is the most generous and welcoming hostess, with special details like fresh fruit, a bottle of welcome wine in the fridge, and olives to nibble on whilst supping the wine. The cottage has a double bed, a pull out double sofa, and two small single beds... More
