My husband and i have literally returned home less than an hour ago from an overnight stay at Cisswood House and we are so pleased with the amazing 24hours we have had their. We read some not to hopeful reviews before going, which was dissapointing, but our experience was A1. We stayed in a very lovely room with a gorgeous... more

stayed with a group of 5 other girls, for a spa break with treatments. the price was good value for money, £65 pp to include bed, breakfast and three course dinner. we were all allocated in newly refurbished bedrooms, which were really nice- flat screen telly's, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds and nice new furnishings. staff were really friendly and... more

I recently held my wedding reception in this hotel and couldn't have asked for more. Service was fantastic with great attention to detail at every stage. Special requests were accommodated and food delicious. We had about 20 people staying over and all loved their rooms, breakfast and spa facilities. The honeymoon suite is also to be recommended! more

Some associates and I stayed at the Cisswood last week. Having read some not-so-good reviews about the hotel prior to our arrival, we were not expecting much. However the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Front office staff was efficient and friendly. There isn't a whole lot going on here so you don't see much staff, but those encountered were very... more

I've stayed at Cisswood 3 times now on business so have a fair understanding of what it has to offer. Hotel Building and grounds are nice. All of the 3 rooms I have stayed in have been dissapointing. Main annoyance is the plumbing! For some reason I have never managed to get a decent shower. It is either a dribble... more

Four of us (over 40) females had a long anticipated break here at the beginning of December 2007. We had put money aside all year to do this, and we were not disappointed We had two twin rooms which were both in the new part of the hotel and were warm, comfortable and well equipped, we took full advantage of... more

After having heard several reports about The Cisswood we thought we'd try it ourselves...bad move. It was very run down, the food lacked attention, taste and contained synthetic products. We were not informed on arrival that the Spa area pool was freezing cold due to a pump break-down 5 days prior to our visit. Arriving at the pool with an excited... more

We, VERY unfortunately, choose Cisswood House Hotel for a four night break from 27.12 to 31.12 07. • We arrived on the 27th at about 3.20pm, given our key card and went up to our rooms 14 & 15, to find 14 had not been serviced. The hotel WAS not busy, with only a few rooms occupied. Whilst we waited... more

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Cisswood House, despite almost having been put off it by a number of negative reviews from earlier visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and wine were excellent and the pool, spa and sauna were everything I had hoped for. The room was warm, clean and comfortable with pretty much all the... more
