What a great place. Accommodation excellent, dog and child friendly. Food wonderful, Spa and pools exceptionally clean and how nice to swim in a heated outdoor pool. Most of the guests we spoke with had stayed before, the staff were very friendly and clearly happy in their work. We will visit again soon.

A wonderful location, with own path down to the sea, staff that were helpful and pleasant throughout, and a health spa with indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis. Not forgetting the peacock that wandered up to the door to display each morning. The evening meal was good to excellent, the tasting menu filling and mainly tasty. All in all a... More

Location is everything for this hotel. Set in a daffodil lined driveway it looks fantastic. Our room was nicely furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. Fresh milk was even brought to our room when required. With top service at all times and underground secreted tunnels connecting some of the buildings this place is certainly different. However, this all costs... More

Just returned from the most amazing hen party weekend for my daughter at this hotel. I swear they have their own micro climate as it is my 2nd visit out of season and glorious weather both times! Sunday was spent, firstly with a picnic on the beach (5 min walk), following by such a relaxed time in hot tub, sauna,... More

Lunched here, food was excellent, beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff could not be more helpful and the service attentive and polite. Particularly in the restaurant area. Franck in his kilt, kept a tight ship and really looked after our every need. This is the most Charming hotel in a stunning location, full of character and definitely worth a... More

Amazing place. It is well worn but very, very homely and very well kept. The smell of wood burning on arrival was lovely. Staff are all so helpful and friendly. Spa is great. The walk on the beach perfect. Dinner and breakfast so good. Great food well cooked. Expensive but for a rare treat well worth it.

This is just about the last word in taking a building of immense character and using it as the platform for excellent service. A spacious bedroom full of character, including the four poster bed, matched with a modern bathroom with generous space and all modern conveniences ( including a great shower). Staff attentive and pleasant. Restaurant menu not quite my... More

OK - this place is not cheap. I spent for 1 night and only 2 treatments, over £500. But both my girlfriend and I like nice wine and I am not going to spend over £200 on a room for a night and not splurge elsewhere. But from arrival (2.30pm Saturday) until departure (11.30am Sunday), there was not a moment... More

Birthday treat for my wife and it was excellent. Resturant, hotel, spa staff all super nice and made us feel very very welcome. We loved the pool/spa, especially our 5 year old son enjoyed family time at the pool. Service and attention to detail all around was first class. Lots of chill out rooms with open fires, perfect for cosy... More
