I have stayed in the area many times before in various different accommodation and have to say this place suits me best. It is the least expensive. The owner is very friendly. There has always been a proper parking space for my BMW and there is wireless internet to my Laptop.

Good value. Takes dogs. Plenty of parking. Only a short drive to decent places to eat. Good shower over the bath. Room small but clean and adequately equipped. Nothing special, nothing wrong with it. Would stay again if needed to.

had a lovely three night stay at this quiet clean hotel. Staff where friendly from the start of our journey when we called to get directions twice for our fussy SATNAV. To the end of our stay, Lovely breakfast served with a smile. It was strange that hey asked for money up front. as we were paying by card and... More

Our surprise stay at the Birch was made very comfortable by the eager to help, sincerely friendly staff. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and warm, clean and tidy. There was entertainment on the night we stayed, a comedy night and there was a great buzz of energy. I really can't emphasise how wonderful and accommodating the staff were.

We returned for the fifth time to this lovely B&B as we often attend a local course. This time our party had all three available rooms. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and provide all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is plentiful with cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast as well as a selection of cooked items. Value for money is... More

Room was OK but severely overpriced for what you get - a cramped space with a small tv with bad reception. What is less pleasant is the smell, a bit like body odour, which permeates the hallways and rooms. Walls are also paper thin so you may have to listen to the nocturnal activities of guests next door. Although the... More
