We had a weekend away with our two children at Bailiffscourt and, having read the reviews were a bit wary, but we called in advance to check that there was plenty for the children to do and we were reassured by the receptionist. We checked in to a beautiful feature room (we had been upgraded which was a fantastic surprise)... more

I stayed at Baliffscourt with my girlfriend earlier in June as a birthday getaway and couldn't have been more pleased with everything it had to offer. The spa, pool, gym, etc are absolutely fantastic and very relaxing indeed. The staff were very helpful. The location is perfect - nice and secluded but right by the beach (private but shingly, not... more

We stayed in the main house and went because they accept dogs. It was really a delight and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the spa is amazing. However everything comes at a price so its certainly not cheap. Food in the restaurant was very good and tea in the walled garden our highlight. My only... more

We stayed at the Bailiffscourt for a 2 night mini-break with our 12 and 13 year old daughters. On arrival at reception, the first thing we were confronted with - before anything else - was a large notice on the reception desk telling us that children under 16 could not use the spa other than between 10 and 11 am... more

We stayed at Bailiffscourt with our 15 month old son for a night in May. For GBP325 Dinner and BB the value is good and the ground is very nice. It is not Four Seasons service but a good four star. The hotel is very english in terms of menue in the restaurant and the other people staying. The SPA... more

Baliffscourt Hotel and Spa is a fabulous place. Great Spa, indoor and outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, lovely gardens and a short walk to a quiet beach. The gardens and housekeeping for this hotel are imaculate, the staff charming and there are loads of things to do to keep everyone happy. Dinner was O.K. but vegetarians not very well catered... more

We stayed locally at Barons Hall (wonderful) and treated ourselves to a spa pampering day. We also had dinner on another night. The location is superb, very rural and peaceful, the honey stone of the hotel reminiscent of Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons (but nothing like). The spa is fabulous. Really good facilities, two pools and excellent service. Everyone drifts... more

Saw the Hotel by chance and decided we needed a treat. We certainly got one! The reception staff couldn't have been nicer, showing us a selection of rooms. A drink and snack in the courtyard set us up for the short walk across the lawn to the beach. Dinner was excellent and how professional, the Restaurant Manager and waiter knew... more

I visited this hotel with my husband and children aged 11 & 12 over the Easter week-end. Having read the mixed reviews on TripAdvisor I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff were all incredibly helpful & friendly. An excellent Easter Egg hunt was organised with children divided into appropriate age groups (Chris the general Manager was on hand &... more

My partner treated me to a one nighter at Ballifscourt. We had a great room (reduced price on lastminute.com) and I found reception, customer service and standards generally very high. We ate in the restaurant and although it was a saturday night and extremely busy, service was prompt and impeccable. I was treated to two treatments at the spa, after... more
