Visited today for afternoon tea. It was a lovely experience and the staff were excellent especially as we had a baby in our party. The food was delicious and the macaroons were amazing! The only area for improvement would be to provide additional hot water with the pots of tea as the pot quickly stewed; that said the staff were... More

Balliffscourt is lovely lovely place, lovely staff and lovely food.We had a wonderful time. Its best hotel ever !! The direct access to the beach is wonderful for dogs and they were made very welcome rather than just tolerated.

What a Fantastic hotel!!! The place has a good feel of going back in time which we personally loved it. Our room was well appointed and had a nice spacious bathroom with a walk in shower room. My kids enjoyed the various activities set up in the hotel ground and the space to run around. Family walk to the sea... More

I have been to this hotel before to stay and eat but this time it was for dinner £49.50 each and I have to say it was the worst meal I have had in ages.Wrong starters at first and lamb that we was told would be pink and was well cooked.Every single item we had was lacking in any flavour... More

The hotel is beautiful, the suites are very small. The service was slow and no where near as good as other silver service hotels in the area! We paid a lot of money for a small room and poor service. The spa facilities were amazing. Overall I was very disappointed - this hotel is the very definition of cognitive dissonance

We stayed here as a hen group and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much of a problem, they bent over backwards to make our stay special. The setting was just perfect and it really was a perfect getaway. The spa was one of the nicest I've ever been to. Can't fault anything!!

I took my fiancee in April for a birthday treat, being one of her favourite places to chill out. It was all lovely, as usual, the staff very crisp and helpful, but the restaurant, previously supberb, fell slightly short. It was all 'fine', but we visit BC as a treat, to feel special, and the restaurant in particular was no... More

This is my first stay at the dog friendly Hotel. The staff is super professional, nothing is too much and your wish is always granted. Our dog had her own bowl and place mat provided. Ab fab. As we have a dog we ate in the different lounges, all beautifully decorated, furnished and the food is superb. Either a snack,... More

We stayed with our two children and puppy for a short break. The dog was given his own bowl and treats and not just tolerated but welcomed. The area outside our room had a large grass courtyard to let him walk off the lead. He loved the field at the back of the hotel with a walk to the beach.... More

Quirky, eccentric or a folly, all words that describe this Hotel and I have rated accordingly because I embrace what it is. At times you feel some reviewers want an odd hotel on the outside and a state of the art one inside; you will get the former but forget the latter. The Hotel caters for children but personally I...
