We have stayed at Bailiffs before and this time it was absolutely brilliant! a big thank you to Alice at reception, friendly, helpful, polite! She upgraded us (as we are members of Historic hotels) to a beautiful room - gorgeous! Wow, we couldnt believe it. The food was lovely especially the evening meal, served by lovely waiters, quick and a... More

I've just returned from a spa break with my mum as a post-xmas treat, and what a wonderful treat it was. Everything was absolutely spot on. We had a room in one of the historic buildings which was gorgeous; cosy but not cramped, antique but not out-dated. A complimentary newspaper was much appreciated in the morning (though we didn’t get... More

My wife and I were married at Bailiffscourt Hotel in 2011 and have visited numerous times since. The entire experience is always first class from the staff, location, accommodation, spa treatments and food. We can highly recommend Bailiffscourt, you will not be disappointed especially if you utilise the spa and book treatments, furthermore don't forget to have a glass or... More

Bailiffscourt appears to be a mediaeval manor with matching outbuildings. In fact, all the stone buildings apart from the chapel were built in the 1920's from salvaged materials. The conception and execution are both outstanding and give great pleasure both outside and in. The style means that the numerous sitting rooms in the main building are quite small but all... More

We went to Bailiffscourt for our anniversary and we had a wonderful time. We were given a very nice room but it turned out the heating wasn't working. After contacting the reception they tried to resolve the problem but were unable to. Instead they upgraded us to a beautiful suite in the main building. The staff was very attentive. Special... I booked a spa day as a Christmas present for my mum. I am not a 'spa person' but I thought it would be a good way to spend time together rather than shopping and it is quite close to where mum lives although 75 miles away for me. It was a really lovely experience. I was over an hour... More

My wife and I might be biased but we got married over the weekend of the 3rd - 6th July 2014 in what we nicknamed as Op Independence as we got married within the grounds on Friday 4th July. This was second time round for both my wife and I and so we only wanted a small intimate affair with... More

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea so it was with great pleasure that we sat in one of the little corner rooms dotted around this wonderfully old-looking and grand establishment. (It gives one a sense of royalty). The staff were very attentive and friendly. The afternoon tea experience was in keeping with its grand surroundings. Finger sandwiches without... More

About 10 of us enjoyed a leisurely luncheon 2 days after Christmas, in our own dining room. The service and food were excellent. The hotel is situated in its own large grounds so there is plenty of room for car parking. There are delightful lounges, one with a log fire.

Lovely hotel but let down by amateur service. Electric broke down in room 8 times, no lighting to our room and chaos for our second dinner . I accept Christmas is a busy time but needs to focus on better service. Lovely location.
