On a sunny day the grounds to this hotel are beautiful. We stayed here as an adult 2 night break without the kids for a bit of pampering, good food and luxury and to be honest I spent most of the time wishing I had booked Ockenden Manor (in the same group of hotels). There are no particular horror stories... More

We had previously stayed at their sister hotel in Midhurst and had been bitterly disappointed by 50's style poor furnishings and service. We decided to give the baliffscourt a second chance. A big mistake - despite a great setting and atmospheric main building - the poor levels of reception and housekeeping service, fawlty towers breakfast service and wafer thin walls... More

We went for a surprise birthday weekend and yes the hotel is lovely. Fabulous buildings, well furnished and in an ideal location. Close to the beach and just a short drive away from historic Chichester and it's lovely harbour and estuary. The spa with its two very large pools was delightful and despite a strong wind it was great to... More

Have visited twice in the past month. Lovely buildings full of character, rooms in the main building with real fires. Very attentive and helpful staff . Luckily both times we visited we were able to swim in the outdoor pool and use the hot tub as we had good weather.

We visited Bailiffscourt Hotel for a wedding. This was our first experience of the hotel, but hopefully not our last. The hotel itself is in several parts, there is the older mansion and then the newer rooms around the grounds, so if you are staying in one of the contemporary rooms, there is a short walk to the main body... The overall experience was almost 5 star when my wife and I recently had a 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast and the accommodation most comfortable. As all other reviewers have stated the actual hotel buildings are pretty unique, which added to... More

The location of the place was ideal. We enjoyed the food, walking and the spa. Our room was in the main building it was warm (perhaps a bit to warm!). The bathroom was excellent. The bath being deep and large and a great walk in shower.

Lovely location, near the beach, places to walk and amazing collection of historic buildings, apparently brought onto the Estate by the Guinness family. There is an excellent Spa which we didn't use but, some of the party did.The main building is a really beautiful medieval manor, with lots of small rooms, places to hide and read or take coffee. We... More

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. Last time we stayed in the main house in a four poster room but we found it a little cold and small. This time, we stayed in a modern room and loved it. There was lots of room, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious. Beautiful views from the... More

Bailiffscourt: an intriguing collection of medieval buildings, a wonderful and friendly hotel with a great modern spa. It is right by the sea with a great place to run along for those intererested in fitness. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. The room was great - along a higgledy piggledy hallway had very modern bathroom with a large shower and... More
