Discourteous treatment at check in. Very dark room with peeling wallpaper and very dirty net curtains at the window. Room very noisy with a fan working intermittently outside the window and loud voices disturbing sleep through the night. Not good value

Its a gorgeous building on a great site and only a few minutes from the events at Goodwood. There has been some investment with excellent bathrooms and decent decor but the beds are long past their best and incredibly small by current standards. It really seems geared up to coach parties with early dinner and noisy entertainment. A real mix... More

Good location (if you have to stay in Bognor - possibly one of the most depressing places I've ever been to) and good sized rooms - and that's about it on the plus points. Couldn't / wouldn't accommodate an earlier (English breakfast time) unless I was prepared to accept just toast and cereal - rubbish service for the business traveller... More

Very dated hotel, expensive for what you get. Double room with sea view was smallest hotel room we ever stayed in, very claustrophobic. Extremely hot and stuffy as no air conditioning. Window held open by plank of wood. Tiny shower room too. Breakfast supposed to be fresh cooked but arrived dried up. However hotel was very clean. Could be so... More

We stayed one night over the Bank Holiday weekend and found everything about the hotel superb. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, room was spacious and had a lovely sea view. Breakfast was lovely.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found all but one member of staff most welcoming. They were anxious to ensure we had all we needed and were very pleasant at all times. The only down point was one of the waitresses who was not unpleasant but not always aware of customer needs and seemed distracted at meal times, therefore... More

A hotel that pays great reference to its history, but that's the main thing going for it. It's in urgent need of renovation. It has to be the creakiest, squeakiest hotel I've stayed in. Those in the room above sounded as if they were about to come through the ceiling (through no fault of theirs). Every step and opening of... More

Plenty of parking, generally polite staff and guests, efficient service. Can't comment on the food because we didn't get up in time. We had a lovely sized sea facing room with two large windows and a four poster bed. The floor was a little squeaky and we were worried about disturbing those below us. The bathroom was really large and... More
