we were part of a couples group of 12 staying at the Belfry for a birthday treat including spa for the girls and clay shooting for the boys, we were excited about staying at a great hotel that always had such a great reputation. However, even though we had a good time and enjoyed our separate activities we were disappointed... more

Only stayed overnight on a business training course. Room was suffiecient for what I needed it for - ie, somewhere to shower, change and sleep. It was a room, and I could have been any chain hotel. Nothing stood out, that would make me rush back there. I didn't use the golf course, so I wont pass comment on that... more

i recently went to the Belfry for a golf break with my colleagues from work. i have been the previous year so knew what to expect. to be honest the only reason i would go there would be to play golf, but thats what the hotel is about!!! golf courses are good but expensive if you dont get a deal... more

The service was average, nothing great, the rooms were clean but needed desperate re-decoration especially the bathroom and lighting was insufficient. Having said that it was a good sized room. The Fire & Ice steam sauna package is overpriced at £30 as the facilities are limited outdated and reminded me of public swimming baths. Dinner was lovely in the Atrium... more

This had been booked for a special anniversary, so my partner decided to go for somewhere a little more special. After booking a golf and spa break, my partner was told there were no tee off times available, despite calling weeks in advance of our stay to arrange his round of golf. The hotel looked like a standard budget hotel... more

First things first, the golf courses were excellent and a real test of your ability. Before i arrived i had envisaged a high quality hotel befitting the Golf Courses name. I was rather disappointed. The rooms were average and in need of refurbishing. All the drinks were expensive with no offers. The was not enough staff to cope with the... more

I cannot comment on the hotel as I choose not to stay here, however I did sample various "edible" delights at the event I attended here. I can happily say in my years of staying all over the world I have never, ever been served such revolting, disgusting slop as at this place! Being vegetarian I ordered a veggie meal... more

The Belfry is living on reputation alone. I have stayed in better standard Travel Lodges than this hotel. The rooms are terrible they are small, dated and the quality of furniture including the bed is very low standard. The bathroom's look tired and old and in need of a refresh. However this wasn't the worst of it the worst thing... more

Rooms were very clean, plenty of places to eat with something to suit every taste. If you are not driving can be expensive if you are relying on Taxis. Grounds are beautiful squirrels, ducks everywhere . If you want breakfast I would go early or you will have a wait. But it was definately worth the visit. more
