impromptu stay for the night last night and would certainly recommend to other travellers. Recently renovated by new owners who have clearly worked hard to create a much improved place to stay. V central location, v clean and nicely decorated. Delicious breakfast & v welcoming owners. Great value for money. Would recommend.

Had a business trip needing to be at Warwick the next morning so searched around for a place to stay for the night away from the busy Cotswolds and eventually found The White Bear. This was actually my second choice, but the first place I tried didn't do breakfasts until 08:30, no good at all so contacted the Bear and... More

Since January we having been going down to the Cotswolds every couple of weeks on business and have stayed in various B&B's and Inns. We decided to try The White Bear.........I must say my expectectations weren't great - but what a good decision we made!!, I was a little put off when we pulled into the car park and saw... More

I understand that this has recently changed hands. The current owners have taken charge of a very old hotel where there doesnt seem to be a stright floor or wall..and that's its charm. The standards are very high. Rooms are warm, clean and with lots of hot water. The ensuite rooms are not large but cosy and welcoming for short... More

Thanks for a great night! Me and my girlfriend stayed at The White Bear Shipston-On-Stour for a night and we couldn't have asked for anything better, especially since it was still being renovated. The food was very nice and presented to a high standard. The exceptional service and the roaring fire made our stay comforting and homely. The room was... More

Stayed one night here as an emergency pit stop on the way back home from North Wales, due to my other half having a biking accident while in Wales, breaking his leg and requiring surgery! The long journey proved too much and the pain got the better, so we stopped at the M40 services and tried to find somewhere to... More

Our favourite local has been taken over by Wendy, Jan and Ollie...and its fabulous again!. Warm and cosy, friendly staff and it looks loved again. We had a fabulous dinner a few weeks back and a lunch ...all was well cooked and very good value. The wine is good and served in nice glasses..which means a lot to me. Well... More

This was the first weekend for serving food, after the new management took over. Outstanding! I am very particular and usually go to high end restaurants. Last minute decision took us into the White Bear for a Sunday roast. I have been to this pub many times and the new management have this place clean and refined, uncluttered but still... More

Visited on New Year's eve for few drinks with friends (been before too), then stayed overnight on 17th January for launch night after new management team had taken over. Couldn't believe improvements that had been made in just 4 days of taking over. Would describe The White Bear as a traditional English coaching inn, with rooms. Located in heart of... More
