This hotel is very convenient for the town centre and has a large car park. My room - clean and fresh. A good size, well equipped with a very comfortable bed. At the back of the hotel so no problem with traffic noise. Bathroom - spotlessly clean shower, toilet and washbasin. Looked like new attractive flooring; fresh, clean towels. Food... More

Stayed for business last week. Was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service and friendliness by the staff. Room was fine and the hotel is recently under new management. Some parts of the hotel seem busy with workmen plastering and painting etc, didnt bother me as I couldnt hear them within the room. One point I would have to... More

I stayed here recently and had a very good time. The staff was always ready to help. The food is great.. all the dishes were fantastic. During my visit I saw a lot of refurbishment activity going but I didn't face any problems and my room was clean and had everything I could think of. Its a great place and... More

I'll start with the good points - the new manager is lovely and can't so enough for you. Remembered us by name and was a great guy. Redemption staff all nice and polite, breakfast was good and service was ok, The bad bits - the room was horrid. It was smelly, mouldy with a terribly stained mattress and rusty chair.... More

Like a previous reviewer this was our second visit and we chose it because of its location. At first little seemed to have changed but when we mentioned any faults they were put right. Examples - the hotel has never supplied bathmats and when my wife mentioned this the new owner's wife set off into Rugby and bought one; when... More

Having stayed at the grosvenor before, I thought as it was a great stay, I'd stay there again. I was not disappointed, the staff are terrific, the food great value and while I was there I went to one of their many entertainment evenings. On this occasion it was a carpenters tribute evening, what a great evening. Thank you grosvenor... More

We stayed here about 3 years ago. Then the bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast less than aspirational and the reception staff simply didn't speak English. We booked again (through necessity - braced for the devil we knew) but were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a friendly team at reception and were informed that they had just bought the hotel,... More

Visited the hotel for a short stay. This is a 27 room private hotel with many original features but requires urgent updating . The carpets on the floor were quite old and dirty . Although there were signs telling "bear with us while there is refurbishment " - not sure how long the signs have been there for . On... More

I stayed here recently and everything seemed fine. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and I must say the food is awesome. The bar area is really nice, I was told that recently the new management took over and have plans to upgrade the rooms to a higher standard. The location of the property was ideal for... More

This hotel should be ashamed to call itself a hotel! Dirty room, curtains hanging off, dirty carpets, dirty en suite, no staff at hand, but not a bad walk into the town centre, Even though appears cheap, it's away to expensive for the standard!
