Our fishing club has stayed at the Longshoot hotel for the last 12 years. The rooms are a little tired but they are always very clean and tidy . The food is very good and the breakfast can not be beaten . Also very good value . The staff are all very friendly and helpful . We have already booked... More

Firstly the good stuff, the pub, which is shown in the photos on the website is nice, with friendly staff and the carvery is nice but cheap. Now for the hotel. Well it's not a hotel, it looks like an American motel but there's no photos of that on the website! I checked in, Lady was very pleasant and explained... More

Absolutely awful! Stayed here for one night while we were visiting the town for a party. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel as bad as this. As the title suggests the exterior of the hotel looks like a motel from an American horror film and the accommodation lives up to that. Room smelt vile and looked grubby, Soundproofing between... Stayed here because it was near an event we were attending,we booked in and met Mr Happy hotel man who basically threw the key at us and grabbed the money for the room and then stomped off.We then went to our room,a tip with a capital T!!,peeling wallpaper, twin beds when we asked for a double,a bathroom window that was stuck... Just enjoyed yet another carvery meal at the Longshoot with my family. We had no problem finding a table today but I have been on sundays and it is usually very busy then. Only bad point was that there was no roast potatoes today but to be fair to the Hotel this was posted on the door as we entered... More

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised after reading the previous reviews! Yes it is dated and slightly basic but it's also only £35 per night and for what we paid, we thought it was great value for money. It's clean, a good size and it had a lovely powerful shower with plenty of hot... More

Having stayed at the Longshoot on many occasions I would recommend it to anyone who needs a no thrills location, it is ideal for groups who are looking for low budget accommodation, the attached public house serve a good range of food and drink, accommodation is basic., it is ideally located for the areas fishing venues, my reason for using... Had a lovely carvery choice of 3 meats, great selection of vegetables nice and hot defiantly going again, a mid week day is better value for money as a Sunday the prices are higher but then that is to be expected. There is a large selection of desert that the kids loved
