You can't deny that for £20 a night, it's a damned good deal, however being a huge chain they still lack the basic quality you would expect. The low price is the saving grace. Bed was comfortable and the surroundings are very quiet, but the rooms are falling to pieces. Holes in curtain, light fixtures askew, shower curtain grimy and... More

Rooms were clean enough, shower curtain was a bit mucky, slept well and had the main road wasn't a problem - staff were good, helped me out when I tried to purchase some toiletries from the vending machine, would stay here again if I could get a cheap deal, paid £40 for the room and was a bit overpriced

Booked online for a cost of £19 for a room , arrived and was greeted by a pleasent person and was in my room within 10 minutes. The room is basic , but clean , with a settee , kettle , cofffee/tea , tv , large fluffy towels , plenty of hot water. The hotel is at the back of... More

The rooms are starting to need a lick of paint, but everything was in the room that was needed. It is a bit of a pain to have to drive to the next roundabout to go into town, but hey thats not Travelodge fault. Very good value for money and if in need of breakfast, try Tracey's cafe on the... More

Hi My wife and I stayed for two nights at this Travelodge. The bed in room 17 was uncomfortable. The mattress had had its day. I requested a different room and was assisted to change rooms by a very good member of staff called Kevin. Many thanks

Staff are very freindly and efficient. Some rooms could do with a a little decoration. Most importantly do not stay here if you do not have a car. There is a busy dual carriageway outside which is risky to cross by foot. So if you are staying to visit relative at the hospital you cannot walk safely to the hospital.

Pre-booked online taking advantage of off-peak rates. So, value for money? Absolutely; how can you be too negative about £19? Location is convenient for Birmingham & the NEC, only a 5-10 minutes drive away without paying the premium of closer establishments. Initial interaction with staff at check-in was friendly & efficient staff allowing us to get straight up to the... More

The staff at the travelodge were very friendly and happy to help, the hotel as a whole could do with updating even a lick of paint would help cheer the shabby looking exterior and interior up. As for the rooms in general you get what you pay for and that's about it. All in all it did what i needed... More

I'm writing this because we made it out alive, the only distinguishing feature from a prisoner-of-war camp is that we got out the front door because the guard wasn't on duty. Alright- the guard, sorry, receptionist, was really nice, which was all that was really nice about this, erm, 'establishment'. First, the location. Imagine a roundabout, a road, a petrol... More

When you book and pay for a room online, you expect to stay in that hotel, in that room. We appear to have been victims of a decidedly dodgy ploy on the part of Travelodge to sell on the room at a higher rate, with the result that we were relocated at midnight to a dingy, sub-standard, chalet-style motel they...
