Having read reviews, we came here not sure what to expect! When we arrived, we drove down the side to the back as the signs said and there was ample parking. Upon entering we found the receptionist. We explained we were an hour early as we had a wedding at 2pm and would it be possible to drop our luggage... More

Room ok - at least it was clean. Bathroom extremely small, although shower cubicle was large. Shower was more of a dribble than a shower - no water pressure at all. Room very noisy, seemed to be a rat run for the children outside, with them constantly running in front of the window. Doors were banged shut both in evenings... More

I stayed here recently as it was the only hotel in the area that had availability on the weekend that i needed. I was a bit apprehensive as i read that it is also a pub, I thought it may be too noisy and full of drunks! However, i was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is a little old fashioned and... More

I have now stayed here a few times on business and I have to say I will keep coming back here, the rooms are a really good size not to big nor small and they are super clean, the only slight downside is that there is no heating control and due to it being an old building and system. It... More

Walked in, no one at bar or 'reception' desk. No staff wearing uniforms so good luck trying to figure out who works there. 1 member of staff hadn't shaved in 3 days, looked like he may have slept on a park bench! Bar not stocked with basics like clean cups for coffee. Breakfast inedible, bacon swimming in fat, egg not... More

This hotel I would describe as a functional hotel, OK for a stop over but any longer and would show the cracks, the rooms are noisy with spring doors that could take the average wall out, and wake you up, the service is in the way of a local pub and reasonable food at good prices, but would not use... We stayed here only for one night, but were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room. It was spotlessly clean, good attention to detail. The restaurant is also good value. Our evening meal was nicely presented, it wasn't our first choice, but the waitress came promptly and asked us to choose again, no problem at all. Breakfast was well... More

What an amazing place. Best value for money we have ever had. Staff and management all very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good and tasty. Rooms comfortable and clean but perhaps a little hot being upstairs. Highly recommended.
