Ok, so it was Mother's Day and the place was heaving and so we purposefully booked a very late table for our lunch, however, after placing our order, we got totally forgotten - an hour's wait for our starters and then another hour's wait for our Main course. We didn't get to have a pudding as after 20 minutes of... More

Overall this hotel is really good. The food was lovely and service really good. The room was a little disappointing, we stayed in the garden room which was on the ground floor and we could hear every movement upstairs ( but I get that that is what you get with floor boards) the toilet seat was in desperate need of... A beautiful place full of attention to detail and friendly care. It is unusual to find both a warm and inviting place with lovely hosts. Each room is individually decorated to a high standard. Food is excellent and all local produce.

I had enquired as to times so we were able to book a lete table the bar area is wonderful combining all the qualities of a good bar area, with an eaterie. so ,mant places are laid out for eating to the detriment of those who just want a drink - this is a country... Booked to stay one night to celebrate a birthday. The room we had was called the old beams - very nice bed, room decent size as was bathroom. Only slight negative I would say about the particular accommodation we stayed in was that the bathroom was a little tired and would be better tiled as walls were water stained. Also... More

Great food and pub with rooms, very high standard - but you pay for this, its your choice and watch out for a 10% gratuity on the room bill as well as food and drink - most strange! Nice atmosphere and a very relaxing place to stay. Walks from the door too!

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday and so we could visit Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Stratford. The Howard Arms is situated in a picturesque village and we had a lovely stay. The room was big yet quaint (antique furniture and a half tester bed), the food excellent (esp. the breakfasts which were the best we'd ever... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Excellent menu and wine list, really helpful staff and beautiful, character-filled, comfortable rooms. Beautiful setting. We would definitely stay here again. A great place to get away from it all....

I had been recommended the Howard Arms by several friends as a perfect place to stay if visiting Stratford on Avon. We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary add ons, including iPod facility and internet access. The dinner menu had a good choice with locally sourced ingredients...
