We were a large group of girlfriends out for a walk in the beautiful surrounding area. We arrived without booking and found the kitchen and bar staff to be very friendly and accommodating! We had a perfect table in front of a huge open fire and enjoyed great hearty pub food and drinks. We all returned the next day (same... More

This is a traditional Cotswold inn with B&B lodging set in a picturesque and friendly village. We had a great meal recently at the Fox and Hounds, it has a very good atmosphere and is well worth a visit, it is also reasonably priced. It is in a good position for visiting attractions in Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton, Stow... More

Wonderful to have our local pub fully operational again with an interesting and reasonably priced menu that should appeal to both locals and visitors. Clean functional surroundings with comfortable furnishings. Looking forward to more visits in the future and seeing the place fulfil its potential.

This was everything that I could have hoped for (and more!): Lovely warm atmosphere, stunning views from my window and the peace and quiet that you associate with the countryside!! I was down here on business and after a long and tiring day, the owners very quickly and efficiently settled me in to my beautiful, spacious room, and assisted to... More

arrived in the village early, and decided to find a pub for a drink before meeting with friends, came across this in the pouring rain the frontage looked really appealing entering the pub was so charming, the character of the old 15th century building was clear to see, but has been tastefully renovated to incorporate some modern style and comfort... What's not to like about this quintessentially typical village inn? Rambling layout with terrific well kept ales on hand pull & quite an eclectic menu written on blackboard which changes to suit local produce. It is worth the detour off the main road to enjoy a meal in this village inn.

I have not stayed at this hostelry, but I have visited it twice recently and have been impressed by the quality of the food and the beer that they have served me. The location is quiet and the pub itself is exceptionally cosy and welcoming, I visited in the cold of winter. I will certainly visit again.

Where to start?! The main problem was the shoddy breakfast service. We were the only people to have stayed so were alone at breakfast. The owners elderly mother served us. To be fair, this lady was pleasant enough but was unsafe to be carrying anything and in our opinion to be walking around the uneven floors and obstacles of the pub... More

Stunning old pub, restaurant with lovely rooms in this typical Cotswolds village - great outside areas, stunning food (one of the best steaks I have ever tasted) and really warm attentive family team. A template for how to run an excellent pub restaurant. Room was very comfortable. Excellent value too.

Stopped here on our way to broadway for a weekend away. It's a little gem. The menu seemed a bit kooky with Thai influences galore, but he food was gorgeous. We had a beef salad, deep fried halloumi and a pasta dish and all were tasty, well cooked and well presented.
