After a long trip over the Penines in pouring rain and a temperature of 9c, it was a welcome sight to see the hotel on the other side of the A1M, which was a matter of minutes away; When we arrived, the sun had come out and the temperature was a comfortable 17c. The receptionist at check in, was very... More

Spent two years at this hotel with work the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent so it was an easy choice to make when we came back on a social visit. Best wishes to Carol. Ann. Mandy. Tracy and all the rest of the team see you soon. From Chris & Julie

Only stayed here as my client was in the same hotel. Odd rear car park where hotel is access through unstaffed fire door - this must make this place very insecured as anyone could wander in. My check in was OK, but I heard others complain. Room was dated with paint chipped and bottom of bathroom door rotting. Was intending... More

Stayed here 4 days as part of a tour. The service in the dining room was appalling. Tables were not cleared and even had to put used crockery on the floor or window ledge between courses to make way between courses. All meals were buffet style except for starters which were served by the two staff attending to a party... More

I reviewed this hotel a year or so ago, and said it was comfortable but dated. One year on it was the same. The rooms are tired, especially the bathroom, but clean and comfortable. On the other hand the public areas are excellent, as is the food and the staff. Just one last gripe, a year ago people complained that... More

I attended for a meeting, I was quite surprised at the size of the meeting room.....not cramped, plenty of space, bright and airy. It is probably the best hotel I have attended for meeting/study events. I am sure I gained weight...they kept on feeding us, croissant's mid morning, fabulous lunch and ice cream in the afternoon. Plenty of tea, coffee... More

This hotel is very dated and can do with a refurbishment. Lounge/ reception appear pleasant but the real problems lie in the rooms. In our room, we had a table that was falling apart, a trouser press that had failed its electrical test and had the sticker to prove it and marks and mould in the bathroom. It is impossible... More

Dear Jojolewlew Thanks for your feedback, Wow, we really managed to NOT get this one right at all and for this I can only apologise.
