Rooms were nicely redecorated, spacious and comfortable. Friendly reception. Great value for money. Enough space in one room to comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 children. Great Italian restauant call Tavistock Italian just a minutes walk from hotel.

Excellent stay a very warm welcome nothing too much trouble. Rooms lovely and clean and fresh looking. It is just off the motorway but not really bothered by any traffic noise. Breakfast boxes were offered as there is nowhere to get breakfast but there is a Gregs over the bridge for sausage and bacon caps. We went to the Toby... More

Having booked the room for an interview in the morning, apart from the bed, the other two most important things are the Shower in the morning and wifi to research the company that is interviewing. The Wifi may as well not have been paid for and the shower was really really really weak. Whilst I normally stay in Travelodges, I... More

Stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling to Scotland. The good points:- Convenient location, excellent staff who were friendly and helpful. The bad points:- One of our rooms smelled very strongly of disinfectant type smell the other was hotter than Hades!! I think people mostly know what to expect of a Travelodge as a no frills provider, this hotel was... More

I rarely stay in hotels on Saturday nights because of the curse of stag and hen dos, but reckoned I'd be OK using one at a motorway service station miles from the nearest city centre - wrong! I arrived after a 2 hour drive around 8.30pm to find a large number of young Asian males making a racket in several... More

Stopped for one night on our way north, a horrendous ten hour journey made the hotel a very welcome sight! Very badly signposted into the travelodge and ended up in the wrong car park so be very careful. Room good sized and we all had a good night. Would not recommend the travelodge breakfast, very expensive. We got bacon rolls... More

Awful stay, cut it short by one night as the room was absolutely boiling hot and the windows hardly opened due to a security feature, this on a second floor window with cctv at a services crawling with police! The advert said we would have a king sized bed but all we had was a double. It really was stifling... More

Other reviews have titles like "peaceful" "calm".... REALLY!?!?! It might be refurbished..... end of the good bits. It's right next to the A1M.... so expect road noise.... but it was hot on Saturday night so I opened the window the allowed 2 inches..... only to be bombarded with a bank of air conditioning units from the building opposite..... whirring until... A group of us booked this hotel for a wedding in the North East, our ages ranged from 21-86 and we all found it a pleasant experience. We received a warm welcome, the rooms were spotless, spacious and nicely furnished. All fixtures and fittings were to a good standard and there were nice touches like hand and shower gel and... More
