Loraine was very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Room very comfy and clean. Breakfast really good and substantial. Would stay here again .Excellent location for Sandhaven beach , and the town centre. Lots of Restaurants and takeways over the roads. so plenty of choice.

Very friendly B&B five minute's walk from the sea front in one direction and five minutes to the town centre and station in the other. Amazing value, for what it offers. Good quality breakfast, unobtrusive service, very peaceful, spotless rooms. Don't overlook South Shields as a place to stay on Tyneside. Lots of eating places, superb old fashioned pubs (try... What a great find. From the initial phone call to a lovely young man called Jack. To arriving, the lovely room (twin in the attic with full en-suite). Breakfast was served by Jack's mum and was absolutely lovely. Money was not paid until we left, it was all very casual but as soon as you rang the bell, they were... More

Val made us very much at home at South Shore Guest House. We arrived as two bedraggled cyclists after a long and warm day's cycling. We were greeted with a lovely cold orange juice. The room was of a high standard and an added bonus was a huge selection of Indian restaurants just across the road. Breakfast was lovely and... More

We stayed for a weekend 14th-16th June. Val was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. She recommended good places of interest/places to eat. Great location - on the quieter end of Ocean Road. Only a short stroll to the beach/shops. The beach and surrounding area is beautiful - its a must visit (especially if you have the weather... More

We arrived late without a booking and were welcomed warmly. Our hostess Lorraine helped us find a park, offered to help us with our bags and cooked a great breakfast. We had a shower in our room and our own toilet across the hall.
