Nice looking pub, however there is no atmosphere and the staff stand together in groups talking and you wonder whether or not they are talking about the customers, although on a one to one basis the staff are very nice. The drinks are expensive. The outside area is nice and the pub is in a nice location.

After a long walk along the coast with my two sons both in their20's we decided to go for a meal at the marsden inn. It had been at least four years since we had been for a meal their. After having a few light refreshments we ordered our meals and we didn't have to wait long at all even... More

Visiting Family and went here for Sunday Lunch on another family members recommendation. Food was your normal "run of the mill" Sunday Lunch, nothing spectacular, could have done with being a bit warmer, but it was edible. My main concern was the waiting staff - they quickly got in a muddle with orders once the place started getting busy with... More

To the Marsden Inn for lunch. New chef and a great improvement in the food. Generous portions, beautifully cooked. Friendly staff. Short walk to the coast and one of the most beautiful views in the country. I hope that the improvement to the accommodation match the improvement in the restaurant. It would be terrible if this lovely old pub failed.... More

We were visiting friends and found the Marsden Inn online. We found the price was very good at £45 for the night for two of us including a very nice English breakfast the next morning. The room was clean and had a nice view over looking the sea , the staff were pleasant and will visit again next time we... More

My husband and I stayed at the establishment this weekend. I have to say we have stayed in a lot of hotels/B&Bs over the years. NEVER have I stayed in a place where it would have been more comfy to sleep on the floor than the bed. It was only the fact we took our own pillows that made the... More

Have had some nice meals here but today's was very poor. Two classic burgers looked lovely on the menu but were actually small, dry, overdone and in a dry bun. No dressing or side salad. When I said I wasn't happy we were told they had ran out of dressing as they had been busy. Still got charged full amount.... More

It was Mothers Day so understood the place was very busy but we did wait a good 20 minutes to be seated, another half hour to place our order and another half hour to get food. However I have to say it was well worth the wait. Sunday lunch was outstanding! We will definitely be back. Compliments to the chefs

Looked forward to a good dinner after a nice walk along the seafront. Restaurant was well laid out with menus on the tables and after placing our orders settled down with drinks to await our meals. Unfortunately it was a Tuesday and unknown to the staff who took our order no food is available after 1745 on a Monday or... More

The Marsden Inn is my local bar and I have to say it's had some good, bad and average owners over the years. It's a great pub but I have 1 gripe about it. New years eve they had massive cash karaoke signs up outside the pub. So me and the wife along with friends popped in. After a few... More
