This Travel Lodge is right on busy junction of A1 and A19 and is right on road not set back. This would make it noisy ordinarily but there are currently through the night road works - noise horrendous and room too hot to shut window - don't do it move to next one. No warning from Travel Lodge when booked.

Thank you for your feedback, Mark B. We are sorry to learn you were disturbed by road works close by to the hotel, where possible we do try to inform our guests on our website. We also try to work with local communities to try and reduce the external noise. More

My first stay at this particular Travelodge. It was fine, clean rooms and reasonable prices. Very pleasant staff with plenty of parking outside. Sits right on a roundabout with a petrol station, Little Chef and Burger King close by. The Travelodge now gives out vouchers for 20% off food at the Little Chef which is great.

We have just returned from a two night stay. We took some Canadian friends. You know what to expect from Travelodge. Basic but clean. And it was. It was spotless. Both the bed and bathroom. The bedding and towels were spotless. The room was bare as sofa was taken out. The carpet had seen better days. But due to be... More

We got this hotel at a very reasonable rate. You know what to expect when staying at a travelodge - no breakfast etc, there is a little chef who do breakfast next door, perfect. Everything in the hotel was clean and fully functioning and the showers were good. This hotel needs air con tho, we were unbearably hot it was... More

Would have been a better stay had the roadworks not went on all night and kept me awake until after 3am. Not good when i have a busy day today!! Apart from that my stay was above average. Would recommend that you get a room that faces the carpark. Will know this in future. If im ever back here.

Previous comments on the noise are spot on, we couldn't believe how loud it was and they work all night; ask for a room on the car park side. We asked to be moved and the very helpful receptionist found us a room; odd though that in a nearly empty hotel they hadn't thought to fill the quiet side first.... More

We stayed at Seaton Burn Travelodge, chosen because it was handy for the attractions of the North East of England. First impressions were that this one has not been upgraded yet, and the building and fittings were a little "tired". Having said that, the room was very clean and the staff extremely helpful. One member of staff was particularly helpful,... More

For a one night stay this hotel was fine , the double bed needed replacing as it had a dip in the middle Hotel was clean and staff friendly , nice that the single bed was made up ( in the past at Travelodge we have just had the sheets left) I think family rooms should have beds not a... More

Throughout our stay the staff were friendly and helpful and it is well placed by a garage also having a (free) cash point and a Little Chef opposite. Very close to the A1 both North and Southbound. The room and facilities were clean and we were not pressurised to leave each morning before the room was cleaned. Overall good value... More

This was a good travelodge. The staff were helpful throughout the stay, giving us extra tea/coffee etc. The room was nice, with TV and reasonably good shower and the WiFi connection was good for just £3. The only downside was the noisy traffic outside our room, which cannot be helped but prevented being able to sleep. The location is brilliant... More
