Recently refurbished the hotel is very clean, the rooms adequately furnished and the bed very comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Ample free parking with a garage, Little Chef and Burger King only yards away. Hotel provides easy access to Newcastle upon Tyne, the nearby coastal resorts and all routes north as it is just located off the AI and A19.... More

nice friendly and welcoming hotel, lovely staff and room was clean and fresh, carpark is an added bonus as it is free and straight outside the hotel, only downside is the wifi which u only get free for half an hour, this shuld be free through out your stay, apart from that this hotel is well worth the money if... it was mentioned that there might be road works during our visit. what we were not told is that the rooms faced onto the main A1, about 20 yards away, and that the road works went on all night with floodlights. When we mentioned this to the staff and asked if there was another room, we were met with a... More

15 mins away from the city so not exactly on the doorstep with local amenities but a decent stop over for one night all the same. There is a little chef and burger king next door if you like that kinda thing. We used it as a stop over heading north to Jedburgh which was just an hour away.

Stayed for 3 nights , the last night the lodge was fully booked , however I didn't hear a thing from the room next door , great soundproof rooms . New beds , good location as I was visiting family in Newcastle and also wanted to explore Northumberland. No much near by as its located in a service area for... More

This is the second time I've stayed in this travelodge. Both times I found it clean, comfortable with friendly, efficient staff. The bed was exactly what I'd like my own to be, so I was delighted to find that I could order one for myself. Will definitely use this travelodge again next time I'm in the area.

the hotel its self is good and the young lad that checked us in was very helpful and pleasant. Only thing that lets it down is the Little Chef and Burger King across the carpark which is a dump and litter all over carpark.

Visited the hotel recently with my husband and young son. Easy to find, great central location for where we needed to be. Hotel has just had a refurbishment, very refreshing, the whole hotel seemed very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were the most comfortable and biggest I have had in a hotel.... Each member of staff we... More

You have to pay for wi fi. But it only covers 2 DEVICES. NOT THE ROOM. Also once two devices have gone on line. These are the only ones you can use. Also no hairdryers in room. So don't forget to get one BEFORE you wash hair.
