Previous comments on the noise are spot on, we couldn't believe how loud it was and they work all night; ask for a room on the car park side. We asked to be moved and the very helpful receptionist found us a room; odd though that in a nearly empty hotel they hadn't thought to fill the quiet side first.... More

We stayed at Seaton Burn Travelodge, chosen because it was handy for the attractions of the North East of England. First impressions were that this one has not been upgraded yet, and the building and fittings were a little "tired". Having said that, the room was very clean and the staff extremely helpful. One member of staff was particularly helpful,... More

For a one night stay this hotel was fine , the double bed needed replacing as it had a dip in the middle Hotel was clean and staff friendly , nice that the single bed was made up ( in the past at Travelodge we have just had the sheets left) I think family rooms should have beds not a... More

Throughout our stay the staff were friendly and helpful and it is well placed by a garage also having a (free) cash point and a Little Chef opposite. Very close to the A1 both North and Southbound. The room and facilities were clean and we were not pressurised to leave each morning before the room was cleaned. Overall good value... More

This was a good travelodge. The staff were helpful throughout the stay, giving us extra tea/coffee etc. The room was nice, with TV and reasonably good shower and the WiFi connection was good for just £3. The only downside was the noisy traffic outside our room, which cannot be helped but prevented being able to sleep. The location is brilliant... More

Ideal for a stopover, clean rooms, TV did not have remote control as all had been stolen, had stayed at East Midlands Airport Travelodge night before which had been completely refurbished so was a bit disappointed with this one

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are basic but all you need. Ours and our friends rooms were spotlessly clean, I've stayed in a lot more expensive places that weren't as clean. Ok so there wasn't a lid on the bathroom bin and the bath panel was wonky but it didn't cost us a lot. We just needed a... More

We stayed at this Travel Lodge for one night (which was more than enough) whilst visiting family. The place was absolutely filthy, the mugs, floors, bathroom, in fact everything apart from the bed linen. The beds were lumpy. We regularly use Travel Lodge hotels and knew exactly what to expect, this was a real shock as it definitely was not... More

Convenient location for exploring the area. Buses leave from just outside hotel. Very basic accommodation, and electricity pylons pass very close to the windows on one side of the hotel. Staff are very friendly and there is a burger king and little chef on site

OK, I know that Travelodge are what they are...cheap and cheerful short-term accommodation, but unfortunately Seaton Burn was neither particularly cheap, nor very cheerful. The room was tired and in need of refurbishment. Kid's beds were uncomfortable. Roadworks outside meant we could not have windows open, making the room very stuffy. It rained one night, and the gutter above the... More
