The website states "Guests should be aware that roadworks may be heard from hotel between 10pm and 6am." Please be assured having just spent 3 nights there with my family you WILL hear the roadworks, workmen shouting at each other within a few feet of your window and will struggle like hell to sleep unless you load yourself with tranquilisers or... My husband and myself stayed here on the night of Thursday 26th March. When we first arrived we went to the Little Chef as we were ready for something to eat and it was empty, rubbish outside and a little worrying HOWEVER the staff were wonderful the meal was hot and delicious and the pot of tea very welcome. We... More

Stayed here for the weekend and was a good location for where we needed to be as we had a car. Room was spacious and clean and the bed comfy. However the place definately needs a refurb to bring it up to spec with the other new travel lodges. Overall a good quiet stay but touch up needed.

Hotel is easy enough to find, but it's stuck on a traffic island between 2 very busy main roads. Corridors to the rooms smelt a bit funny as did the room, but at less than £20 per night you can't complain too much. There is also an electric pylon onsite which is a novelty, but you can't hear it buzzing... More

Mouldy bathroom and horrible single bed but otherwise clean and not too loud compared to others. Outside area is disgusting with thousands of pieces of litter but OK for the price and much better than the horrible Metro Inn just down the road!

The room was disgusting. Everything felt and smelled damp. There was evidence of mould everywhere especially behind the blinds. Bedding that fit, dirty duvet covers, filthy shower curtain and a shower that didnt work properly

Told us there had previously been a leak and they spray air freshner every cpl hours to try masking the smell. Didn't work and not once did I even see them spray a thing. My... More

The hotel was hard to find as they sent me the postcode that was to a different postcode and was half hour away. Also the bed room wasn't very updated. The tv was old and had no remote control , no hairdryer when it said there was one, and the shower was spitting hot and cold water out. And wasn't... More

Stayed here as a base for going out in Newcastle. Only a 15 minute taxi ride to the city centre. The rooms were basic, but provided everything we needed for the weekend. There was a receptionist on 24 hours a day, so coming in at 5 AM was not a problem. Would return in the future if going out in... More

made to feel welcome, rooms are spotless, reception staff are lovely especially Erica. noise was a minimum inside the room, also liked the free parking, only downside in my opinion was the wifi, it shud be free not just for half an hour, apart from that this hotel is a lovely place to stay.
