Stayed at this fantastic hotel when attending an awards ceremony, me and two colleagues booked into this hotel as somewhere we could rest our weary (slightly drunken) heads. When booking the rooms I noticed a 'special requests' box and I couldn't resists entering "Ed requires (if possible) a framed picture Paul Daniels (magician) on his bedside table. NO DEBBIE" Ed... I arrived in the evening, tired and hungry and the wonderful Colleen was there to painlessly check me in, pour me a cider and organise my evening meal from their exceptional new Indian chef. This was proberbly one of the finest Indian meals I have ever had and there was no thinking involved when I ordered another curry the next... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. Your family were a pleasure to have here. So glad that you enjoyed the new Indian menu so much, I have to say it is going down very well. Take care and hope to see you again soon Linda More

This hotel offers affordable accommodation near London Gatwick Airport, and not far from the city itself. Breakfast is delicious, with a range of items on the menu cooked to order. The rooms are basic, comfortable and clean. The furniture can do with updating, as well as the carpets.

Booked for one night for myself & a friend. My friend got to the hotel slightly before myself and checked in, i then arrived about 20 minutes later and checked in at reception. The room was very large with a nice little balcony outside. The paintwork and condition of the plaster on the ceiling was in bad condition, looked like... More

This hotel does not live up to the advertised billing, a 70s throwback, as soon as I arrived the receptionist ignored me for half an hour whilst on the phone. After I checked in I discovered the advertised wi-fi only worked in the lounge and I needed an ethernet cable. I went up to my room and discovered the phone... More

Was not too sure what to expect as we drove up outside the Hotel - a bit like Crossroads lol. Well... upon entering we were greeted with a big smile by a lovely lady called Janice. Checking in was quick and easy...room big and spacious. Went down to the bar and met some more staff who were very busy as... More

A warm welcome when we arrived, good sized room with a pleasant large en suite, the 'balcony' was not what we had expected. A step onto a flat roof which gave a lovely view but definitely needed some TLC. We dined in the Restaurant where Moncho looked after us very well, unfortunately my husbands meal was served cold, but this... More

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights. Booked through their site and got a fairly good deal around 55 pounds. A friend stayed in a better room with a balcony for 65 a night. Breakfast was 7.50 extra per day - I could take it or leave it. Staff were friendly but it was a bit like fawlty towers... More

Stayed for a weekend as we were going to a local wedding .Staff are lovely -friendly,helpful and efficient. The breakfasts were good -lots of choice and the cooked breakfast was hot and tasty. I thought the decor was a bit dated in places - the reception area looks as if someone with colour blindness has chosen the settees and chairs!... More

Okay guys the hotel isn't the Ritz but it doesn't pretend to be, if you want a hotel with pleasant staff, smiling polite receptionist, clean rooms, comfy beds, great, well cooked breakfasts I really don't see how you can improve on the Bridge house hotel .. I have to say I had read the negative reviews and I value the... More
