excellent room/meal/ambience. 1st class trio band "Hush". Hush are described as the House Band. However it appears that their bookings are being reduced by the Hotels "new" management which is a shame. The band played an essential part in the new years eve event & are the reason why the annual event is well attended.

The restaurant was filled to capacity and as it was pre-Christmas, there was a lively buzz. This was enhanced 10-fold by the charismatic and entertaining Elvis impersonator. I confess I wasn't looking forward to him (bit old hat) but he was fab - really made the evening and had his own way of ensuring absolutely everyone joined in. The food... More

Hotel itself is adequate, but stretching the word hotel - more like a motel. parking good. Rooms were good, air conditioned and big bed. very clean. mind you the TV in the bedroom was like something from the krypton factor. I have a First Class honours in engineering and MBA and I couldn't get it on! The room was bizarre... More

Where to start! Booked an executive double with balcony. No key to balcony door! House keeping couldn't find the key. Offered another room but only twins available. Offered a room reduction or free breakfast. Said that an early breakfast in our room would be fine as we had an early start. Filled in the breakfast form and handed it to... More

Booked a dinner dance evening for 22 people at this hotel to celebrate a milestone birthday. The banqueting manager, Linda, did an excellent job catering for all our needs. The food was amazing with very generous portions, well presented and served hot. Everyone in the party got their meal at the same time. The entertainment was amazing with a live... More

Convenient location but on a main road which can be a bit noisy at times. Room OK, a little tired. Bar menu limited, I had the burger/chips which was not particularly nice. Bar area dull. Staff helpful enough, particularly the chap who served breakfast who had a good sense of humour. Standard room OK on price.

Visited here for a function. Quite a nice venue, little tired in places. Bar was staffed with a friendly woman who was polite. Beer was warm which was not good when it is £4.50 a pint. Food served was good and quite tasty. Quite a pleasant venue.

We have stayed here once before, exactly 12 months earlier and saw no reason not to stay there again for one Sunday night. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room on the ground floor, was clean, of a good size and the bed comfortable. The shower worked well. It was very good value and we would use it again.

We stayed in an "Executive room" which was a good size, arriving on a Sunday night, but the hotel was like a ghost town. The hotel is old with dead plants and odd chairs in the corridors. It needs a complete revamp to make it the same standards expected in a 3 star hotel. The room was a long way... More
