Me and my husband spent fantastic 1 night break in Nutfield Priory. Building is stunning and very well maintained. Room was comfortable and high standard. Peaceful location with beautiful views and plenty of walks available. Hotel had made every effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable.Little touches , like wellies available by the front door made us feel well... More

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, as it is close to our Surrey office and to be honest there are not many alternatives in the area. I can honestly say that I have not once come away thinking that was great, I cannot wait to return. Thinking about this hotel objectively, it has a great location, the... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to speak to me on the telephone about your feedback. Although uncomfortable to listen to, it was very valuable in helping me identify individuals who did not recognise the opportunity to address your issues and recover your full confidence in the hotel. Please be assured that we have undertaken remedial training with... More

Stayed here after attending a wedding at the hotel. I had contacted the reception weeks prior to arriving to ask if I could get into bedroom earlier to get changed for wedding. This was agreed as was a very close family member of the groom. However on arrival the bedroom was ready, had to ask a number of times throughout... More

Thank you for posting a review on Trip Advisor. Whilst we always enjoy receiving feedback, regrettably more than three months after the event, it is somewhat difficult to provide a truly valid response to some of your comments. As the hotel is invariably very busy during the wedding season, we never offer guests an early check in as it can... More

My wife and I spent a Saturday night at the Nutfield Priory in a senior suite on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. The room was massive, well maintained, and had a fantastic view south over the Downs. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive, but without being overdone. The Spa is in a... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post a review on Trip Advisor; it is much appreciated. I am really glad that you liked the suite we allocated to you; although all are unique and unusual, they are full of history and charm and as you say, the views are over the downs are incomparable . I was... More

I booked an overnight stay in this hotel, with dinner and breakfast, combining it with a spa day, as a birthday treat for my husband. The spa is OK but some areas need a coat of paint and new carpets. The staff were very attentive and the treatments on offer were very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the well presented and... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review; I was really pleased to read that your treat for your husband’s birthday was enjoyable. I appreciate your feedback about the spa décor - as you observed it is situated in a very busy member’s health club and the redecoration of the communal areas is an ongoing project,... More

We have had lunch and dinner here, and both were excellent. Sunday lunch on a nice day gives you wonderful views over the surrounding coutryside. The food is very good and the service unobtrusive, just as I like it. It definitely isn't one of those restaurants were you feel intimidated by the staff. It is a beautiful building, with a... More

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review on Trip Advisor about Cloisters restaurant. Your description of the ambience and service is exactly what we aim for in conjunction with a menu that features locally-sourced ingredients, cooked in a modern British style and, we believe, competitively priced. I do hope that we will have the pleasure... More

We stayed here for one night in February and I have to say it was all rather magical (more so as it was a surprise :o) The place is immaculate and the hotel a dream if you like 'Hogwarts-esque' experiences. Straight out of ancient times. The room as ever for Hand Picked hotels was well appointed, spacious and in greta... More

Had a lovely stay at Nutfield Priory but it should really do itself a favour and remove the "spa" bit from its name as the "spa"is a few 100 metres away and actually more of a private local club than any amenity for the hotel. That aside, the hotel is a lovely place. We stayed in the Eliot room and... More

My friends and I booked two rooms for an over-night stay at the Nutfield. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. The hotel grounds were impressive and staff were polite and attentive. We recently stayed here for a couple of nights to chill, unwind and relax. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us. We had excellent service throughout our stay.
