I treated my Husband for his 50th birthday on 11th of May 2012 and the hotel was fantastic. Everything was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. We stayed in a junior suite (Austen suite)and were very pleased with our room and its facilities. The bed was so comfortable, very clean room and bathroom, just great. The receptionist,?Tabana(south african origin) was... More

I stayed at Nutfield Priory in order to have a relaxing short break with my hubby. We are very fortunate to by upgraded to the Byron Suite, which is the suite that occupies the tower and set over three floors. The views from the suite are lovely. We found it very romantic. We had our evening meal included in our... More

An impressive-looking building set in large picturesque grounds. Check-in was relatively painless. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a large TV, safe, tea/coffee facilities and air conditioning. I especially appreciated the bags of ground coffee instead of the usual instant stuff. Bottles of water are also provided, but I was disappointed to only receive bottles of sparking water... More

Lady Hillyer and I used to live very close to this hotel and have spent many memorable stays there. We even hired the restaurant for Her Ladyship's birthday and Im not telling her age as he will hit me over the head with the family silver. The welcome you get is always first class and they greet you by name... More

Hotel looks great from the outside but is let down by the lack of attention to detail and service. We stayed in March for a birthday celebration. The safe had no instructions, Sky sports news was missing and the radio had no sound. In fairness the maintenance man arrived very quickly and explained how to set the safe (however I... More

My wife and I stayed here recently for a short break. The hotel looks great from the outside and does not disappoint when inside too. The room was big (we had a junior suite) and clean, perhaps the only thing missing was a mini fridge to keep bottles cool. The food in the hotel was of a high standard, and... More

We stayed here with a 1 year old for a wedding recently, and really enjoyed the stay. For us the service really made the stay. The room was nice, good size (slightly odd shape), clean and seemed to be nice and quiet. The bathroom is quite small, but functional. I found the bath a little slippy while showering, maybe a... Myself my husband and our ten month old stayed here over the weekend for a Wedding. What a beautiful place! The views are absolutely picture postcard perfect. Our room was a very good size, and the travel cot provided was clean and looked brand new. The only issues we had were (and these were very minor) that the door knob... More

First confessional: we booked a deal through octopus which the hotel had no record of. They upgraded us to the Byron suite which is big, up three flights of stairs and quite Byronic. The upgrade almost certainly improved our opinion. Despite our Daughter being terrified of his painting. But staff lovely, service good and it all worked. Breakfast excellent -... More

Recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and close friends for a one night getaway without the children.  We were looking for a relaxing break where we could just indulge in good food, wine and where we could take our time and relax.  We were not disappointed and left feeling throughly spoilt.   We stayed in the Shelly suite...
