We traveled to Hanoverton and spent a night in the Lincoln Suite. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The suite is very cozy and includes a large bathroom with copper accessories, a claw foot tub with old fashioned shower ring. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding and very romantic close to one of their many operating fireplaces. The... More

We love "the Tavern" as many locals call it. We have reservations for Thanksgiving, as we do every year. The atmosphere is cozy yet you never feel cramped. The servers are all helpful and courteous and ever so efficient. The food is always great. The hardest decision is which luscious dessert to have!

We stayed overnight in the Lincoln room. Comfortable four poster bed, claw foot tub, home made cookies in our room. Dinner in the dining room was outstanding; the best meal I have had anywhere! We had a table in front of one of the fireplaces, very romantic. Our waitress made wonderful suggestions. We plan on going back for lunch sometime... More

This is an excellent choice and well worth the drive to get there. Wonderful atmosphere, a lot of history and excellent food and service. Two fireplaces going when it cold out. Plymouth street has other historic buildings and houses, many occupied by home owners. Plan on spending some time there to look over all the photos, relics, furnishing, etc. on... More

My husband and I recently spent the night here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We stayed in the Jefferson suite, which we were warned we might be visited by a ghost during the night. We were not, but were enchanted with the charm and history surrounding us. Our dinner and the breakfast the next morning were unbelievable. I had the best... More

If you want great food, this is the place. We thoroughly enjoyed the salmon with béarnaise and herbed cod entrees. The blackberry pies was to die for. The historical setting worth your time to see. We will visit again.

My family and I have enjoyed many delicious lunches at this warm and spacious inn. The servers have always been very accommodating because we have a special needs son who cannot chew. The chef prepared a special macaroni and cheese dish just for him. The rest of us enjoyed delicious food with hot loaves of bread fresh from the oven.... More

We used to love coming here. The food was great as was the service. The service is still excellent but the food is lacking and overpriced. One of our party ordered the filet and it was served long past overdone. Most of our dinners were warm, at best. The prices are very high and does not include salad. I doubt... More

Both times I went, I had some type of wellington. The chicken was good, the lamb was so so, actually rather tough. Their mashed potatoes have whole pieces of basil in them, they were delicious. I wish that I ordered the duck, I love it, but it was with ravioli and I didn't want pasta. As far as the atmosphere... More

Im not sure if we were discriminated against because we weren't over the age of 55 or the server (Kelsey) just didn't like us. To start with they lost our reservations but weren't busy so we were seated right away. We than ordered cocktails and the server made one of the two, but left it sit at the bar for... More
