My wife and I needed accomodation to follow Rick Wakeman's concert at Hampton Court on 2 May 2009. Liongate had the only rooms available within walking distance though I was innitially put off by other Tripadvisor reviews! However, the fourposter room was available and we were pleasantly surprised to have an enjoyable stay. OK, the hotel is old and things... more

A large group of us stayed here on Sat May 2nd to attend a wedding, the hotel were told of our need to change in a room before 2pm we were offered the disabled toilet, from here on in we all knew it was down hill from here. When we were given a room to change it was as others... more

We spent one night here as we had a party to go to near kingston. The room was small but clean. We booked through last minute.com and paid half the normal price. Not sure it would be worth the full cost. The breakfast was lovely and with hampton court just next door and ideal location to sightsee from. The hotel... more

We fortunately were only booked in for one night. The disinterested receptionist put us in a room where we discovered other people's clothes in the wardrobe. The chimney from the kitchen fan went up the wall of the room creating a continual 'roaring' sound. When we complained about the room we were told that 'the fan goes off at 10pm".... more

First impressions didn’t promise much so I suppose I shouldn’t have been disappointed. Scruffy and run down building, poorly organised check in, keys missing etc. but a pleasant enough lady trying to help. The whole place is very tired and needs a good refit, but the room I had (top floor no. 29) was probably one of the worst I’ve... more

The receptionist was friendly, she helped us with our luggage upstairs. The bed looked comfortable but had stains in the sheet and the cover was torn. Stayed for 2 nights but after the first night my room was not made up,no new towels ,shampoo etc.I got back quite late from my outing so could not make much fuss.I called the... more

We arrived with another couple for a long weekend. Reception staff pointed up the stairs toward our rooms and up we went. As with most old buildings, some wear and tear is expected. Me and my boyfriend lucked out and got the lovely 4 poster bedroom in the pictures. The room our friends stayed in were TINY! It could have... more

We were unable to find a hotel in the area with a room available. Maybe the fact that this ine had a room free should have been a warning sign... The room in the mews on first sight was passable, we were exhausted and needed somewhere to sleep. The bathroom was clearly dirty and the mildew all over we decided... more

We booked the hotel before we had read the reviews and were quite concerned about what lay in store. How wrong we were. Yes the three hundred year old main building does need external decoration but the rooms were good. Ours had a new bath and fittings. Breakfast was fine, the fruit salad had been freshly made as was the... more
