I stayed for one night, had room 501, the shower leaked everywhere, I couldn't sleep due to traffic, room was boiling got, the small fan did nothing, evening meal was great, the bar maid is an assets to travel lodge she actually made my stay! The receptionist however was horrid. An evil little polish/Latvian lady. I wouldn't recommend this place... More

Been in and out of this hotel for the last 2 weeks, its ok, nothing special, its comfortable and clean but my only concern about the place is not the hotel its self but the location, it loud outside being so close to bars with students in, and a constant flow of buses and cars, apart from that like i... Having stayed in Travelodges before we knew it was basic, but clean and functional. That's fine, that's what we wanted. The room we were in however was very small for a couple. The mattress needed replacing - it was still quite firm but we could feel every spring! We had to go down from the 5th floor to the 1st... More

Really unimpressed. The lobby is unwelcoming, dirty and made me feel a little nervous. The uncarpeted stairs leading to the first floor reception smelled of urine. The room was tiny and as basic as I've stayed in for a long time, the shower head emerged from a gaping hole in the tiles and the ironing board was as threadbare as... More

Entrance at Street level could be fresher and brighter The reception area had a different feel enhanced by the helpfulness and efficiency of IWONA. The 2 double rooms booked were simply furnished and very clean. ALL the linen spotless and towels changed daily. Tea and coffee plentiful. We had pre-booked the breakfast which was an excellent, buffet style supervised by... More

There are pros & cons for this Travelodge. At the budget end of the market you expect to 'get what you pay for' & maybe put up with a few things. The amount we paid per night was not cheap at £68 per night, but not expensive in comparison to what other hotels wanted for the period we were there.... More

Please do not even consider staying at this run down hovel. While there are worse places in the world, Downtown Detroit; Orange in New Jersey and a cardboard box on The Embankment spring to mind, this place takes some beating, particularly now Travelhutch has increased its prices in the mistaken belief that it is a real hotel. I am ashamed... More

Although well located, this travelodge is run down - the common areas are rough around the edges and you don't feel particularly safe at the bottom or outside of the building. I'm aware there are limited services offered to keep down the price but I would expect a towel per person at the minimum, sadly this didn't happen and we... More

I stayed in this hotel a few nights a week for three weeks in a row and I find that it did what it said on the tin. Staff was very friendly, specially Iwona which never missed a chance to ask me how I was doing. Rooms were clean and always with clean towels. Would def return but only for... More

It was unbearably hot, towels missing, not enough pillows in the room. The decor was dull, with poor presentation that made the place look like a prison. The lady at reception was nice but overworked as the reception was understaffed. My girlfriend and I would never use a Travelodge again after 2 bad experiences.
