I booked this hotel a month in advance, directly with the manager/owner. Five days before my stay, I received a phone call from the hotel saying they would have to cancel my booking. No reason was given, no offer of compensation and no advice on an alternative. They also claimed they had tried to text me and got no reply,... More

We stayed at Artists Villa for two nights whilst visiting family in Kingston. The location is great - 3 minutes walk to Norbiton station where you can then be in central London in half an hour, the house is 15 minutes walk to the centre of Kingston. Parking by meter in the week but free Friday night, and all weekend... More

I have stayed in this B&B for 6 nights and due to stay again in a few weeks. It's an excellent bed and breakfast, rooms are beautiful, warm, cosy and the bathroom is excellent. A few minutes walk from the station it's an ideal location for business travellers.

The house is beautiful and Ingrid is lovely and welcoming. My partner and I stayed here for 3 days in July. We felt very comfortable and at home. We stayed in the front bedroom, which is very spacious, with a lovely king size bed. Nice continental breakfast, thankfully, as I can't cope with a fried breakfast in the morning. Loved... More

Artists Villa is literally a tourist's villa... within 200 meters of this B&B there is the Norbiton Train station, 2 or 3 bus stops and numbers of restaurants (Thai/ Lebanese/ Chinese/ English..etc.) and grocery stores. In side this Victorian Age house it is surprisingly full of colours and contrasts...arts and crafts.... lights and shadows.. it is indeed "Charmingly Beautiful"!! About... More

This B&B is very very nice! Somebody wrote a comment that 'Ingrid plays her own music' Yes but that music is a very pleasant thing: Jazz, Blues. The guest room - larger front is marvelous. Shared bathroom is not a problem. Nice continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Thoroughly recommended!

Guest rooms in private home, a situation that requires both parties to consider each other. If you want a typical insular hotel type environment, probably not for you. We found it to be a nice balance of privacy and personal attention and help. Two guest rooms, the larger front room is marvelous. Shared bathroom but not a problem, very well... More

The house, and Ingrid's art, are lovely. But like the visitors from Ireland who wrote, I felt very unwelcome and would have left to move elsewhere but had no time or transportation of my own. Ingrid plays her own music until late at night and since there is little soundprooofing in the house, I would not have slept at all... More

What a wonderful enclave of perfect harmony. Any 5 star hotel could be jealous to achieve a similarly individual, warm and soothing decor and atmosphere. There are beautifully restored wooden floors, doors and windows all original features of the house which was built in Victorian times. The arrangement is slightly different from the classical B&B. There is a kettle in... More
