I booked in for a three night stay for work. Staff were polite and friendly. Room very depressing, in the attic, no blind, very unpleasant looking shower. Management were baffled by a request for local information, eg where to eat, things to do, which I consider to be standard in a hotel. Appeared to be no other guests, again quite... more

From the website it looked great but what a disappointment. The central heating banged all night and the noise from movement in the room above ensured we had a poor night. The decor was tired and outdated., the headboard not attached so banged against the wall and the bedside table was too far from the bed to reach. There was no channel... more

During my stay at The Bridge I enjoyed not only the location and beautiful surrounds, but also the friendly staff and tidy rooms. Whenever a request was made to the staff during my stay, they were always friendly and polite and helped me in any way they could. The food in the restaurant was lovely - especially the homemade cakes... more

Pleasant rooms, very friendly staff. Interestingly different ambience to the restaurant. Staying there as it was location of son's wedding reception which was handled with consummate professionalism. Nice setting with pleasant views and attractive walks. Central heating in newest extension needs attention as it sounds like the LSO percussion section practising when it starts up in the morning! more

From the road the Hotel looked inviting, though actually finding the entrance from the road was hairy at night as the dip in the kerb was unmarked by anything. From the car park you walk through the cafe area to reach reception which seemed a little strange at the time, but the cafe area itself is very modern, clean, well... more

Bed and breakfast with café/bistro. My very cramped single room although clean was desperately in need of a revamp. With cables running across the carpet from the four-way cable extension to a twenty year old television which only just worked on three channels and a bathroom that needed modernising. The room made me think of what a back street b&b... more

We are currently going through our older rooms and are updating them with modern decor and equipment. This is at it's final stages now and will be complete very shortly. We appreciate this clients feedback and are working hard to improve in the areas discussed. We have been complemented many times for the friendliness of our staff, our cafe and...

We booked the bridal suite for our tenth weddng aniversary - and we were not disappointed! We specifically did not want a bland chain hotel where each corridor looks the same as hundreds the world over. This hotel fit our bill really well. On entering you have to walk through the cafe - this felt a little strange but then... more

It was my first time I visit England outside of London. I know about the bad price-performance ratio from hotels in London (for normal people London is realy expansive) and was suprised to find such a sweet and comfortable B & B for an acceptable price. I spent 5 nights in a single room. The location of the hotel is... more

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a friend's wedding near by. The hotel is fronted by a nice cafe, which although the range is limited, has good food. We ate both lunch on the day of arrival and breakfast the next day there. The room in the hotel was dark and had a very 1970s feel to... more
