The owners Mr and Mrs Torjussen made us very welcome. To be fair it is probably ready for a refurb / makeover. It was fine for a 1 or 2 night stay, but wouldn't want to spend too long here. Very central to Farnham though.

We use this hotel for meetings to get away from the overcrowded noisy "chain" coffee shops in Farnham. The experience is always pleasurable with great coffee, light, airy and quiet restaurant and bar areas, solid wi-fi coverage and connection, and decent coffee at a very reasonable price. We will continue to use the Bishops Hotel.

I stayed in November for one night as I was in Farnham on business. The rooms I saw (two) were both in an annex at the back of the hotel. The first one was freezing as the radiator wasn't working, it was quite clear the radiator was broken when I was shown to my room but I was told once... More

We stayed at the Bishops Table for one night whilst visiting friends in the local area. It is located in a very handy location for were we needed to be. To be honest, we didn't spend much time in the hotel however, the nights sleep was uncomfortable due to not being able to turn the radiators down, it was very... More

I have been stopping at the Bishops table for the past 3 years. The hotel is in a nice central location right in the heart of Farnham, just a short walk all of the Cafés and Bistros that line the streets of Farnham. It's difficult to explain the hotel as it has a certain character about it. Each room is... More

My husband and I stayed here last Saturday night with a group of friends as we were all going to a party, we stayed in Room 3 which was awful, there was an awful smell in the room and the room was very dated and tired, the other guests at the hotel were also not happy with their rooms. As... More

Have been in Farnham on business several times in the last month, without a car. Bishops Table staff very very attentive. Dining room, lounge area is basic but light and airy. This is a small hotel, only about 15 rooms, which I like. Excellent location in the middle of Farnham. Bar service finishes at 11pm. Bedrooms are neat and clean... More

Five of my wedding guests stayed here at the end of June and all were extremely happy with the hotel. They particularly commented on the friendly and helpful staff, the lovely garden and the nice rooms.

We stayed in room number 1 for 3 nights with our 10 year old daughter. It is on the 2nd floor, no lifts. Having owned and renovated and maintained a 160 year old house ourselves, we recognized some of the crossroads the owners must have come to along the way. How to maintain the old charm and fittings while keeping... More
