We went to this place for lunch as about 3 months earlier we had an excellent roast lunch. This time it couldn't be more different. Front of house staff were very pleasant but the food was terrible. Requested medium to rare beef and got over cooked and not really edible. Lamb shank was, according to the menu coming with mash... More

Hi Sue, First off I am very sorry to hear of your negative experience with us on Sunday the 7th, especially since you state that your previous visit was so pleasant. I can assure you that in that time there has not been any significant changes and I would go as far as to say that things have improved; with... More

The Kings Arms right next to the Lion Gate entrance to Hampton Court Palace is an atmospheric old pub, with a welcome to travellers looking for a room, a pub meal, a beer or even a very good quality coffee. Under a previous manager it had stopped being so welcoming or friendly. But the newish manager is both charming and... More

We came to Kingston Upon Thames as we wanted to go to Hampton Court Palace. the ambiance is lovely, roaring log fires and comfy chairs with newspapers to read. Excellent choice of beers and wines. Hubby had pie and mash and it was lovely. rooms are clean, large and comfortable - we had room 10 which was brilliant as it... More

Very warm welcome with fine en-suite rooms right by Hampton Court Palace. Excellent bar with quality ales. Traditional English fare and very pleasant too. Limited parking in front of hotel. Nice place.

Love it. Beers good and always is! It's a stop over on regular walks. The hotel is a beautiful old hostel that sits just outside of the famous Hampton Court Palace. Pretty good food, lovely genuine atmosphere and accepts dogs. A proper pub and great watering hole. Love it.

We stayed here cause we wanted to go to Hampton Court. As soon as we got there really friendly staff. Helpful in everything. We went though the traditional pub to the hotel rooms area. Full of history and character. It was quirky and rooms are very comfortable. You can actually feel.the spirit of the 300 year old pub/hotel. The downstairs... More

At the side of Lion Gate forming part of waĺl to Hampton Court Palace. Facing entrance to Bushy Park. Parking is very limited but on Kingston bus route and 10 min walk from Hampton Court Station. Head north over the bridge towards the palace and not into East Molesey. Traditional Badger beer on pump. Good food in traditional setting with... More

This is a pub with rooms. It is a curious mixture of the good and not so good. We stayed one night, booked at very short notice. Firstly, the good. The staff are excellent and could not have been more attentive, friendly and helpful. The beer is excellent; Badger Ales. The bar area is good. The wifi is free and... More

Stayed here last weekend for a family party and would thoroughly recommend this historic old inn. The bar areas were warm and inviting as was the welcome and the rooms whilst being small were well furnished and very clean and the ensuite shower room was adequate and clean with fluffy white large bath towels. The room had tea making facilities... More

The staff at the Kings Arms are lovely, without exception. The bed in our room was one of the best we've experienced in a hotel room and the breakfast was perfectly acceptable. We booked the 'Suite' as a bit of a treat . . . mistake! The room was a reasonable size, but had only one chair and no real... More
