I stayed here on a Friday night in July 2014. The hotel is in a superb position alongside a golf course. Considering how close it is to Croydon, I felt it was an oasis in suburbia. If you're tired of staying in predictable hotels such as Travelodge, Best Western etc, give this hotel a try. It probably started life as... More

The hotel has a four star rating which I personally think is a little high but on the whole a very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant in the evening was lovely. The twin room was clean but lacked air conditioning which would have been nice. The breakfast was very nice. Overall I think the... More

It was a lovely hotel with great grounds, nice rooms, good food but the service at reception was extremely poor. I arrived at around 6pm after a 5.5 hour drive only to have to queue for a further 20 minutes for the one receptionist to get to me (although there was another person behind the counter but they did nothing... This was the second time we have stayed at the Coulsdon Manor, but it will probably be our last. We were really disappointed by how run down the place has become. The wallpaper in the corridor outside our room was torn and peeling and in places there were gouges right along into the plaster work. The room was clean but... More

I live 4 miles away in Banstead and booked visiting relatives into Coulsdon Manor Hotel thinking the character and setting would make for a better stay than an impersonal chain inn/lodge. The price is very reasonable for the region, if you are looking for a luxury Country House Break then you will have to be prepared to pay more and... More

My partner and I stayed at the Coulsdon Manor in June as we were attending a party nearby and the hotel offered the most reasonably priced rooms in the area. The stay itself was perfectly acceptable; the receptionist was friendly and helpful and the room clean and airy with nice views over the golf course. My main issue is how... More

Just had a wonderful afternoon tea here! Excellent value for money, all items made fresh on site! Extra sandwiches, scones, cakes, tea, coffee were bought out whenever we wanted! We weren't rushed and spent almost 4 hours here! Very friendly service!

I was expecting such a lovely hotel; how disappointed I was. We attended for a party (which was superb and probably had little input from the hotel!). The room was at a reduced party rate of £80 but in the grand scheme of things this was not a good deal at all! This "special rate" seemed to be paid by... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coulsdon Manor is set amidst 140 acres of landscaped Surrey parkland, a large part of it laid down as a challenging 18-hole, providing an oasis of peace and tranquility. Built in the 1850s for Lord Byron and his family, the manor house has been restored to its former glory as well as being sensitively extended. You will now discover a country house flavour reflected in the beautiful woodwork and furnishings, whilst the modern glass atrium lends a light and airy feel. Relax during your stay with a stroll around the grounds with its fine collection of rare trees, take tea on the patio or enjoy a round of golf on the challenging 18 hole course, par 70, stretching over 6073 yards, before sampling the many amenities of the leisure club. ... more   less
