A nice looking building from the outside, inside there was a nice rustic bar, even though it wasn't overly full, the girl on reception was extremely busy and checking in took longer than expected. The rooms were pleasant, clean and reasonably well appointed, I was quite confused with the image they were trying to create as I found the decor... more

We were moving back to Uk and wanted a nice country pub with a good restaurant close to our new house. We booked for 2 nights, two rooms for two adults and two teenagers. We had a long journey but were confident after reading a few reviews that we were heading for a great destination where we could relax before... more

After finding the Hotel in the middle of a forest, we were greeted by a very sultry middle-aged lady that really gave us the impression that we were disturbing her. We were then sent off up some creaky old stairs and down some dark corridors to find our room. The room was bright red and filled with as many, old... more

Me and my partner wanted a weekend away from crowded London and have a rest somewhere in the country. We were told about the Pride of the Valley. What a gem! Finding it at night was not an easy task, but then again I could not find my way out of a paper bag without a tube map! The hotel... more

As an ex hotelier I am always more critical than most when staying in small privately owned establishments. In this case I must commend Andrew and his team at the Pride of the Valley for their outstanding hospitality, warm welcome and fantastic service. I could go on and on. The food if not already needs to be in the Good... more

If you like a 'so what?' reception at reception, an ice cold room (when you are expected) and have to get someone in to turn the heating on. This is the place for you. I read of the famous local beer in some of the rave reviews: my pint was foul. Dinner was ghastly: so-so food with ungracious Laurel and... more

The owners, and their team gave us a friendly welcome upon arrival on Christmas Day. This was followed by a glorious Christmas Dinner, one of the best we have had, with friendly efficient service. We particularly appreciated the roaring log fire that was in the Restaurant. Good to see real ales on tap including the local Hogsback TEA - a... more

As we attended a party in one of the villages nearby, my husband and I stayed for one night on New Year's eve and expected luxurious and stunning accomodation, however we were greatly disappointed. Nowhere have we ever experienced such bad value for money. When we arrived there was no one at reception and only after ringing the bell several... more

Very nice BB style hotel. It is in the country about a 10-12 minute drive from downtown Farnham. Great old building with very nice rooms. Quite and serene. Great pub onsite with a perfect pint. The hotel staff was effecient and courteous. more
