I stayed here for a conference/meeting and it was booked by someone else. I arrived in the middle of a local cold snap which necessarily alters the experience as, with all older English hotels, heat is an issue. Stayed here for a couple of nights in late January during a business trip. The room was in the "annex" at the rear of the building which was small, cramped and dated - however the room was clean and well-appointed.
